THANK YOU!! That gave me just enough ideas for tweaking my deck to get through the last two battles and finish rogue! I had used all available revivals so it was my last chance without starting over yet again. I just took it slow and mainly took advantage of rogue's signature card without getting too fancy. Even had enough magic shields along the way to survive big hits! Thanks again.

Really hope there will be some expansion content and will gladly pay for it!

I had problems with Wizard too until I equipped the item that gave me willpower when damaged.

I always find the best way is to stack stun-inducing spells on him so the attack either only goes off a single time or not at all. Focus on defence spells which stun the enemy, purchase the map item which begins each battle with the opponent stunned for 2 turns and pump up spells and items which will help you gain defence faster to keep him at bay.

I finally beat the game with Rogue, which was by far the most difficult for me. Every other class at least has decent armor or decent healing, while Rogue is strapped for either. So it's very challenging to stay in the fight if your opponent gets in a couple of good hits. It turns out the key spell for me was Shadow Stalk, which changes three cards into a sequence. That let me build up some great runs and get out of a couple of scrapes, and it was even better once I got Expose Weakness to fuel my agility.

When fighting Ogger with any class, the key for me has been to use one of the spells that negates an attack, like the magic shield, the trampoline or the portal. Once you take away his Stomp, he's not all that scary.

Now having beaten the game with all six classes, I'm even more convinced of Solitairica's brilliance. Each class's specialties--as well as the randomness of what appears in the shop on any given run--gave me a different game experience every time I played. And as I've said before, the game has an amazing degree of polish. I don't know what Righteous Hammer has up their sleeve next, whether it's a long list of Solitairica updates or an entirely new game, but I'll be there to support them.

Yes the stun-lock approach is effective, potentially op.

    Really loving this game.

Pockey Card Jockey on 3DS does a very different take on solitaire, both are great. This one is more laid-back.

Issue I found is that alchemy and haste rarely show up together. Haste being the rarest

If the dev still looks at the forum:

Any ETA on the blurry card textures? The latest patch reduced detail significantly.

Wow the rogue is tough. Killed the wizard and paladin no problem. Dying within 8 rounds with rogue. The focus on agility sucks

Agreed but you need to embrace it. Look a page or so back.

Damn I hope this game gets an expansion!

Wow I can't believe it took me this long to realize the blurry card art. They definitely weren't like that before. I wonder if they'll ever fix it.. It's been a long time since the last update.

You know what's great about this game? The fact that so many people find such a variety of solutions to the different decks. I read through and see dynamics I hadn't noticed and can't wait to try some.

I prefer the "stun-lock" approach if possible. By the time the critical components are secured, enemies usually don't even get a turn, which is kinda sad, but makes me feel like the boss.

Rogue is still working me. I think as chance is more involved. Hit level 15 but got smashed. I never see the rogues special attack. Seen it once. I try to keep agility to roll turns but the lack of defence or will is brutal

Believe me, I can sympathize. That is the one that I spent the most time trying to beat by far.

Read the strat for the rogue. He didn't mention what the main spells were. I have only once seen a rogue unique attack skill. What are people using? I was running 4 heal, stalk to create chains, attack that kills an entire column but the armour or stun never built up to last long enough against the heavy hitters

Beat all decks with relatively same approach: stun-lock. For non-defense decks like the rogue, acquiring attack spell "find weakness" is essential to produce enough defense to maintain constant stun. Along with the map item that starts enemy stunned for two rounds and the items to max starting attack and defense, you can realistically maintain stunlock indefinately. Forget about health and armor, or high-cost attacks, no need, as the intent is to never let the enemy get a turn.

Ok figured it out today with rogue. Figures I purchased my first hourglass and never used it as I was getting pissed.

I used the magic shield, 4 health, shadow stalk, custom rogue attack that gives 2 agility and wipes about 4 cards out, and the regular agility single flip card. As items I ran blue skull that gives defence when hit, 4 point defence off start totem, max health pendant and clarinet. I stacked my defence items to make it easier to deal with the later guys big hits.

Basically chained runs with shadow stalk. Kept health of needed. Kept defence when big hit would come and built up attack to drop that big card.
