This game has held strong in the top games on TA for a couple weeks now. It would be dope to see them do a review. They deserve at least a nice 4 & 1/2 star banger. Not that it needs a review to move copies. TA members love it.

Ran into an unresolvable bug in Bard deck.
I had the Trampoline on to deflect the Stomp from this fella,
but after I flipped for the next card and activated the bounce effect,
the game would crash back to the screenboard.
Now I'm forever stuck at this particular place without being able to advance.

Finally cleared the game with all decks. Warrior was first, then Rogue. Every character was lots of fun, I really appreciated how differently they all played just by having their class exclusive cards and colours.

Each has their own positives and negatives, and after a bit of planning (and fully levelling the deck) they completed the journey without too much trouble.

All except for the Wizard... I see some people had no trouble with the Wiz but I found him/her easily the most challenging. I only just won the final battle by the skin of my teeth and definitely had to concentrate completely from battles 15 onwards.

Awesome game and I'm a bit sad to have finished it. Add me as a satisfied customer who would happily pay for new content, characters or whatever.

Maybe with PAX or whatever being over they'll get to it.
Man I love this game so much. it's all I've really played for weeks now.
I hope they update it for a long time to come. It will never leave my home screen.

Congratulations. Also I notice you hadn't even fully levelled half your decks, impressive.

Will add this to the list, thanks for reporting. Can you at least end journey to avoid being in this state forever? (I know it sucks)

Just wanted to say I am so incredibly happy to see so many people enjoying the game this much. The number of people getting the crown with all 6 decks....it just blows my mind. You guys are amazing!

We were at Pax West last weekend, and took this week to mostly rest (although chipped away at some bugs)
Next up we want to add cloud support (if it isn't too risky with existing local data out there), and a new scoring based mode that will give the game a long life. Also suggested, which I think is a great idea, is being able to disable/enable upgrades and tracking your record for crown difficulty (least upgrades used)

Any hope for stat tracking? Just numbers and statistics for overall gameplay. I think that would be the best way to do records. You could probably see your most used deck, most bought item, most used skill, how many times you cleared a pile, how many times you were defeated, etc. It would add a lot of longevity if people could see how much work they put into the game.

Btw I was at PAX as well! I was hoping you guys would have a booth as I did play a LOT of this game while waiting in line at PAX. Does this mean I missed your booth? :( I can't believe I didn't see anything related to this game.. Would've love to meet the devs :(

It's sad but yes I could end journey. My first run in Bard deck too!

Great game, so close to completing it.

After playing for a week without beating Stuck, I've finally found a strategy that works for me and beaten him with three different decks this weekend. It's a strategy that hasn't been discussed so I thought I would put it out there. It works very well with the three defensive decks but I haven't tried with the others.

As others have suggested, I buy alchemy as soon as I see it and use it as much as I can to gain gold. Using Intimidate with Alchemy is a great strategy to make sure you always have gold for those expensive high level skills and items.

The next step is to buy the most expensive Armor spell you can find. This varies with what deck you're using. Then buy Haste when you see it. Haste is the key. Since Haste uses Agility, I try to use items that increase Agility points. The basic strategy is to use Haste on the Armor spell until you get it down to the minimum cost of 2 defense and spam the hell out of it. When I beat stuck with the warrior deck, I had the Armor spell that costs 6 defense along with an item that increased the my armor gains by 2 so I was getting, I think, 10 armor at the cost of 2 defense by the end of the match. I had almost 100 armor when I beat him. Poison is a weakness because it ignores Armor so eliminate it all cost. I also had the column destroyer (Spear of light?) which I think is a must for Stuck along with Cleanse.

I've beat him with the Monk (fully upgraded) and the Paladin ( no upgrades) using the same strategy and I had over 50 armor each time by the end.

I almost gave up on beating Stuck until I started using this strategy so if anyone else is having trouble, I hope this helps.

    TL;DR
Haste + Armor spell = good

I used the same spell on the same class against the same enemy last night, multiple times. Not sure what is causing the problem, but it may be more complex than that. Maybe a specific modifier on the ogger? Or the number of cards left? Maybe the fact you have inspiration active with no valid target to use it on?

Still, hell of a first run. Actually won with bard last night during a power outage.

I've never had trouble with Stuck. Always felt getting to him was much harder than the last fight. I love grabbing items that give you energy of various types when you take damage, which work very well against him.

Haste works very well on those last 3 battles also. Before I started using it I could only get past them once in a while but just barely. Using Haste, I haven't had a problem with them.

Aww bummer. We were at the indie megabooth, with a minibooth kiosk up front. Although it was only for Sunday/Monday. Next time! :)

I have beat Stuck with every class but the wizard. I can't even come close with that class. Tips, anyone?

I should add that the spell was used a couple times during the fight with that particular enemy but game only crashed when it was the ending spell. Also I activated inspiration only to see if it would put a stop to the crashing, which it unfortunately didn't.

Argh!! Still having trouble with friggin' rogue.

I have now beaten Stuck with all other decks without even having to fully trick out some of them. But rogue...grrrrrr. I can get all the way to Ogger right before Stuck but how the heck do you deal with those 10 and 15 damage whacks?

I can use haste with rogue attacks and/or the alchemy overwhelm methods fairly well to get to Ogger but he is a wall I can't get past. I get so much gold that I have plenty extra spells and items but am not sure what else to try. All the defense and stun strategies don't work at all with an attack and agility deck.

Any thoughts? Really want to 100% this awesome game but am about ready to give up :(

I've only been playing for like two days, but I beat Stuck today with Rogue for the first time, which was incredible! Had two hourglasses spare too which was nice, even though my final win was relatively lucky.

For anyone stuck (aha), my spells were the two exclusive ones, plus the magic shield, the one that removes corrosion, the one that attacks three random ones (could have got a better one but did save my butt in the end), and the middle healing one, which I basically never used.

My items were x-ray goggles (vital with the attack one that gives you +1 agility, and sleight of hand), the 4 and 6 potions, clarinet, siamese mask and the maximum heart pendant thing.

My tactic was just getting up massive combos by racking up attack and agility, and then just keep on redrawing so they could never move. With the x-ray specs in later levels it became a lot easier to keep runs going, as well as leave consecutive runs on the board so when I used sleight of hand, I could more often than not continue the chain. Magic shield was vital vs the penultimate enemy that had like 15 damage stomp, and to an extent against Stuck with his expanding sword. Love this game!
