Hahaha! Agreed... I don't think many people on this forum have a 3ds which I actually recently got and I have to say that games is sooooo addicting! I'm wondering if it will ever be released on iOS or android as I think it would be a mega hit!!
I also am missing the achievement for the warrior deck. Must be a glitch. Btw that bird/seagull enemy on the very last area is ridiculously hard. I can't think of a way to beat him. I was able to fight him twice with my revive and switched up items, added the shield that blocks a full attack, and that only made me last a bit longer. The round took about 20 minutes before I died! Are there any tips for him? His skill set is completely broken. He has card regen, swap cards to all the same numbers, add cards to the backrow, stun attacks, armored cards (takes 3 hits to destroy), drain ALL skills 2 energy + add backrow cards, and then finally a super attack that does 10 damage. I got somewhat close to defeating him but I kept getting stuck with no matches and then he kept regen-ing and adding more cards so it was impossible. I couldn't gather enough shields to protect myself from the 10 damage attack that finally defeated me. I even had xray glasses but it didn't help much since I was stuck with no matches and armored cards that got me nowhere..
It's soooooo satisfying when you do beat it. I like the following: - stun costs 4 blue - map item that starts game with 2 stun - soap item to clean front cards Basically I lost a bunch of times to him putting up shields and trying to eliminate same card numbers etc... But I found if I could limit his turns it worked out better. Now I've only beat him once so maybe it was a fluke.
So far I've found the 'limit enemy turns' strategy works well in the later levels also. The stun items and spells are very effective and reliable. Also a fully unlocked deck helps obviously. Only made it to battle 17 so far. I like that the strategising in the game can be as deep as you want it to be, but if you consistently want to get far then lots of thought is definitely required. Luck is also needed but I find the game to be fair in most cases, pushing the player to refine their strategies carefully.
Wow! I didn't realise this game is so popular on TA Guys, does it support iPad mini 1st gen? If it does then instabuy!
Quick update to say we are working hard on the iPad 2, Mini 1 crashes. We have a solution now, but it is a time consuming one to implement, so will likely be a few more days. Again, apologies for the buzzkill. We are all hands on deck on this one!
I guess I could pretend it is a special power of armor, but really it is an oversight...will add it to the bug list! Yes, this is intentional. The downside of not receiving energy for some cards is balanced into the costs. Example: Pierce costs 4 attack to remove 2 cards, but you only receive one energy, Berserk costs 4 attack and 2 heart to remove 2 cards, and with a random element, but you receive two energy. Feygull is going to be the one enemy that gets a slight rework in the near future, not due to difficulty but because with some defensive traits the battles end up unreasonably long, even ending in a stalemate. In the meantime I would recommend using a more aggressive load out, possibly using intimidate as a hard counter to the flying evasive ability and lower cost spells so you can drain your energy to cut down on the impact of moon feather. He has lower damage output (although streaks can always happen) than his Ciffside friends Burlypup and Ogger so you can afford to be a bit more aggressive. Full disclosure: We have a crash issue right now, but it will be solved in a matter of days. Watch the thread for an update!
So here's an apples and oranges comparison question: Which game is more fun, this or leap of fate? They seem to both be pretty greatÂ… And I've spent a lot of time with the latter but I am looking for something new to tickle that itch!
The slow animations are just ruining the experience for me and another friend of mine. Especially since this is a rogue-like, when you start over and face the easy enemies, having these slow animations is painful when you just run through the motions. We've both stopped playing as a result. Yes, it a deal breaker for us. I hope you will implement a "fast animations" option.
Loving the game but has completely frozen twice now (iPhone 6 A1586) in the first half hour of playing.
We do, it is in the settings. If you haven't checked that box, do it! Some have said it's not fast enough though, would like to hear what segments are still painful even with fast animations on. Is it the card turning over in the main screen? Attacks? Other? Keep in mind for every gamer who has lightning fast perception, there are several others who are really confused if things aren't clear (slower). We want to cater to everyone of course!
For myself the 'fast option' is fine BUT if there would be an option to make some animations even faster I'd prefer the card turing from the deck and the 'walking to the new enemy card' animation. Other than that, thia game is amazing! My girlfriend and me just had a two hour flight and both played the game two hours straight. She's at the final fight as we speak! (Further than I ever came... Haha)
While I can see that some people want to play the game faster it is NOT a deal breaker for me. Maybe I'm not as amazing at it as everyone else but I've spent many many hours on the game and haven't even checked the speed up animation button on the settings. Speed is perfectly fine for me. Especially since this game actually takes more strategy. I use speed up for I'm playing classic solitaire with just cards and that it. This game requires way more than that. You start hitting numbers and buttons too quick and not paying attention you'll lose quick. And no I won't stop playing it === As for the Seagul boss it's going to be tough getting that "load out" with aggressive / delay turns deck because 1) Spent probably all my money at that point 2) Most likely the exact abilities I want won't be in the shop. The only thing I can think of is buying all those items waay earlier than I need them and risking losing to other enemies by not buying other stuff I need immediately :\
@RighteousHammer If you can find the time could you implement battle music or allow us to listen to our music while we play? Thanks
Monk is my favorite. Good armor with stuns, and a wildcard ability that leads to many streaks. Wizard does insane damage, and is very fun, but has no defense. Warrior is boring, Paladin a bit too defensive, and I haven't got the hang of Rogue yet. Bard makes me the most money, but I end up getting greedy and die early.
Oh, sure, you might think you're a big man now, but if you can't clear those 4 cards in a mere 206 turns, WATCH OUT!
