^ well written Tulki. Agree with it also. I would also love to see a compendium or some place to see either all spells/enemies/decks or just the ones unlocked once beaten. It would for sure give the player the edge, but could help show the games synergies more upfront.
Nevermind, bought it and am loving it. Reminds me I'm the least observant solitaire player... but still, awesome. There's more charisma and movement than CQ and I really like that. Calls for more engagement if that makes sense. God bless this last week. Okay so leap of Fate is hands down my favourite mobile game since possivly ever. Necrodancer, Dungeon Raid, PQ2, Threes. There's a lot more but those are the cannot be deleted ever. Oh, King of Dragon Pass, too. Anyway. I own Card Crawl, and while I do enjoy the game a decent amount, there's just something massive missing. Could be that unlike things such as Fate, it's missing some progression, and it seems a bit stagnant in the general visuals of the game. If I'm meh on CQ, but love solitaire and single handed, rogue like/lites... is this a hit? I'm also still torn on guild of dungeoneering, which was my initial intent coming to these forums. And this. Listen people I have children and can only buy but so many games that sit on my phone and I pass over to opt for browsing Reddit. I'm so torn.
Thanks to this, I'm now £2.99 poorer and hooked. Still undecided as to whether I should thank you or not?! #
And thanks to this, I've also found Fairway Solitaire and I'm also hooked on that one too.... ....seriously people, I have a house move to unpack - stop recommending great games or at the very least, precede it with a warning for me to avoid reading - my children need their clothes and I need my bed made!!!
@RighteousHammer Great game, loving it so far and very, very, moreishly addictive! Well done. Just a couple of suggestions though - the first is echoing that of many others on here, speeding up the gameplay would be brilliant. Perhaps as an additional speed option or sliding scale (I am aware there is already a speed up animations option but it just needs to be that little bit quicker/slicker). Option to forego the tutorial please. Lastly - and this one is an easy fix.....# ....how about async multiplayer so we can battle against each other? Would possibly require new spells to inflict damage and/or a 'one card = one hit' mechanic? Or maybe just first to clear the board - similar to as it is now - with additional spells to throw your opponent off (ie change 3 random cards to the same number etc.). I'm thinking out loud here, just typing as the creative juices flow....probably need to stop though, it's getting getting a bit moist around here..... #
I love this game! Only gripe is that it is a battery destroyer - I played for 10 minutes on the train this morning while listening to Spotify and my battery went from 85% down to 39%!
Thats weird... I got the opposite of that My battery stats show me that i,ve been playing for 2 hours and i only spent like 20% ish
Just cleared the game with the warrior deck. Absolutely incredible game, I couldn't put it down yesterday. I hope this game gets the attention it deserves. One thing I would like to see is a landscape mode.
Yes, it is just awaiting approval by Apple. Could be any time now. Also a quick note: Thanks to all for your nice comments and suggestions, it is energizing! We are really thrilled by the response. We don't want to drown the thread by replying to every comment, but know that we are reading and making notes on all the requests and ideas.
20 pages and not a single mention of my biggest issue... Playing on a 5S and all of the "reveal behind" skills (x-ray specs) are basically worthless because the cards are so jaggy it's impossible to accurately read what the card is! Is that a 4? a 9? Multiple occasions I've destroyed the card in front only to be surprised that the 5 was a 6 etc. -- I guess everyone is playing on bigger screens than I am
Love the game, hate the delays Hey guys, I love the game but the wait times on the animations and transitions between player actions just kills me. I want to be able to play at least twice as fast. I would prefer either the ability to tap to skip or fast forward to the next play state (probably fast forward) AND/OR to optimize many of the between player action animations to happen jointly. I think the sweet spot is probably in a combination of the above.
Really enjoying this. I have made it to battle 14 and have almost maxed my warrior deck. I can't wait to try the other decks but wanna get through this trial first. As mentioned above faster animations would smooth things out a bit. I have set it to speed up the animations as it is but a more instantaneous tap would be nice when you're going through round 8 for the 20th time #. That said the monster designs are a lot of fun and I hope to see some spin off monsters and dungeons in updates. The decks themselves will take me awhile to get through though. Great game guys.
There isn't really anything like a dungeon, just a series of 18 fights ending with the big boss. The creatures you encounter are definitely randomized, and this is one point the game really shines is how these monsters are assembled. Basically the game has up to maybe 20 base creatures with a couple of dozen modifiers. So 1 game you might meet a "Frigid Man-Cat", but next game run you see said man-cat he's an "Attractive Expanding Man-Cat Priest" with each of those little adjectives actually dictating aspects of his personal deck of tricks he can throw at you.
Trying to understand. So what you mean is that the monsters are always the same but with randomised abilities? Or the monsters themselves are also randomised? I'm asking this because I purchased the game but I'm still in my first run. My friend also purchased it but she's getting the same monsters as me so far.
I noticed different decks have difficulties on them. I'm assuming that means the monsters or card draws are more difficult on them? I would have preferred that you be able to select difficulties on each deck instead of being forced into one. I think that would actually extend playtime by choosing difficulties for each run. OR maybe I'm wrong and veteran/master means how hard the skills are to use (but that makes no sense to me since I think some of the later decks have the best skills). As a QOL nitpick, I feel like the cards are too high up in portrait mode that there's a lot of wasted space in the middle. I feel like it's made for one handed play but I struggle at it because my fingers can't reach all the way to the top of the screen. It's still playable but on portrait I can't actually play it one-handed unfortunately..
