got more than one billion. XD bugreport - sometimes sounds are muted, if the game was minimized before.
Hi, I love playing Solipskier, but I do miss one thing: statistics and graphs especially. I believe, that if each round ended with a graph, Solipskier would be perfect! I am posting a draft of a graph, I made, hoping that the developer watches this thread. I have no idea if these numbers are possible, but it should give you an idea of what I mean The image is attached. EDIT: Oh, by gates, I mean the ones that you are supposed NOT to hit. Also "danger jumps" could be added as a dot aswell. But this is just a rough sketch.
And maybe you could plot in jumps to show height and average height. Eventually make it possible to export the graph as an image. It's just ideas, that I think would make the game absolutely perfect.
I bought this game so long ago and still never play it because I can't quite figure out how to play it I mean, I know you draw the slopes for your guy with your finger and try to last as long as possible but I'm not sure I get where the challenge is or what your ultimate goal is. It's a shame because I love high-scoring, endless games too I think it's going to be one of those things where I have to keep just playing it and wait for it to just 'click' with me...
absolutly. this is one of my favorite games ever. PLEASE boost some life into this game and hook us up with a GC update.
do you see the gates? hit those. the tunnels? hit those, too. the gaps? avoid those. the walls? avoid those, too. all while boosting your score with big-trick jumps. the challenge is reaching higher scores and the ultimate goal is to keep going.
I'll never understand the unnecessary rudeness of some people on these boards. Especially towards someone who was honest and sincere in trying and WANTING to understand this game. I already bought it and supported the devs. Was your response really helpful? See, I do get that but for the most part don't take your finger off the screen and you won't have gaps, right? And you don't HAVE to hit the gates and tunnels, they just increase your score. Avoid walls, that I get Most of the time I end up stopping with a few million points because I get a little bored before I find myself in any real struggle to keep up with the pace of the game. Again, I know there is something that I'M missing, not the game. People love it and I know I should too because it's a genre I already love. I still know one night I will find myself laying in bed and it will just click with me and I won't be able to put it down
if you don't take your finger off the screen, you won't have any gaps...that's correct. i think i meant to type gates...the red gates. avoind those. gaps aren't always bad. no, you don't have to hit the gates and tunnels, but it's kind of the point. it is, after all, a high score game. i feel like i'm stating the obvious, but you can make jumps for your skier to go off...and once he does, take your finger off the screen and he'll do tricks. if the jump is good enough, you'll get judged for bonus points. combo these jumps with gate hits for big points. the longer you keep your gate/tunnel streal going, the larger your point combo and the faster you go. as you go faster, your jumps improve. maybe it's not for you. i love it. i think it's a brilliant adaptation of the canabalt-style running game. i like the style, i like the art...i think that when the music turns off and it's just you and the sound of the snow, i creates a real zen-like feel. i think it's great. there are a lot of endless games that other people really enjoy and i just don't understand what makes some of them appealing. to each their own...
yep, just use some kind of sinus or tilted triangle path. in this case you will pass most yellow gates in the air. this gives you two points of multiplier and more important much higher speed. then several tunnels and highscore will be very good.
Rude? Dude, you asked what the point of the game is, when it's just so obvious. Maybe if you had asked for tips for going further it'd have been more a question, but cmon.
Um, if I had needed tips for going further I would have asked... Maybe you shouldn't assume that something is so obvious to everyone else if it is to you. Clearly it isn't to me. Aside from the high score part. I'm trying to figure out the challenges that I know I'm missing. This is something that you are clearly unwilling to help with so feel free to give your immature, snide remarks in other threads. My questions aren't for you... Thanks everyone else for helping. I sure HOPE it isn't that this game just isn't for me!
so osmos just added gamecenter... i think this is the last of my truly favorite games to implement this fairly obvious and simple community. at least the last one that would really benefit from it. seriously. i don't buy high score games without GC integration. i'm really bummed about it, because the new rocketcat game doesn't have it, either...and i want that. but i'm not getting it. not without GC. i would have missed out in this gem if GC was around when i purchased it. that would have been a shame. anyway, please?
