should be a problem i got 50 mb left and all games run smooth ( even gta cw which isnt supposed to run on my ipod ) weird thing maybe you should restart a few times or load a backup
Nope, I routinely keep less than 500 MB free on my 32 gig 2G iPod Touch. I'm fresh out of ideas, but it could be an issue with 4.0. I don't know, I don't run that OS.
It's probably OpenFeint that's causing the slowdown.I'm guessing that shortly after the lag/stutter you get a notification about a friend logging on, or how you have a certain number of friend requests pending. Try playing with OpenFeint turned off.
I love it when great games come so unexpectedly and unannounced. Gives you a reason to check the store every day.
I am definitely not up there with the speed demons (yet), but I'm loving the game. And I almost always get higher scores playing on the iPad than I do with the iPhone. Are others having the same experience?
I don't think it's that either. I only have one buddy on openfeint and the lags are far more frequent than achievement notices - like once in 20 or 30 seconds. Now that I know that it's a problem with my phone and other people aren't having these lag issues, I'd really like to get to the bottom of it. I'd be grateful for other suggestions. (tried restarting the phone, tried quitting applications...)
I'm on a 3GS with 5.5gigs of free space running 3.1.3 os and haven't had the slightest bit of lag/stuttering. Odd that you're getting some.
Yep, I'll be singing it's praises for some time to come myself! Welcome aboard my speed freak, friend
Thank you, sir. I've had the game for about a week but haven't posted on here much. Finally broke 100 million last night, with a lot of help from fortunately placed blue tunnels. This is my favorite game since Super QuickHook, for sure.
Thanks for the kind comments, I didn't mean to send things off topic. Was really just trying to express how much I like Solipskier. I think particularly because I feel there are relatively few action games on the iPhone that use the touch screen in an interesting and original way. It's really nice to see gameplay being explored like this. Oh, I'd echo what was said a while back, if you can do a few perfect tunnels at v high speed, you can really rake in the points. I find it's the red gates in the middle of the screen that are always my downfall!
