@ataloss, you couldn't have been more spot on. I really like Monster Dash, but Solipskier is such an untamed beast, I can see myself spending quite a chunk of time trying to tame it:D thanks for the input!

Just fired this up for the first time all week, got 20M score, up from 6.5M. I think I had a X76 combo at one stage. Gotta admit, that felt good. But still tepid compared to some of your crazy ass scores.

Yea, we used a 1st gen iPod as our main development device (since it's the only one we had). I will say that it does run better on later devices, but it's still pretty smooth. The framerate is pretty much the same the only difference being the input fidelity. I don't think the input is as high-res as it is on later iterations of iDevices so the slopes aren't as silky smooth sometimes.

OK, once you hit in the 20,000,000 range you realize what the game, the actual vibe is all about...

...it just doesn't get any better than SOLIPSKIER.

The game is absolutely fantastic, this is for sure my favorite game for the iDevice, hands-down!

Yep:) I've bought 4 other games today, but unfortunately they've been mostly neglected due to SOLIPSKIER:cool:

SOLIPSKIER is the only game I'm playing at the moment. I wish my game was as good ;)

I like be the bad guy so let go. I played only the flash version but it's fluent and the mouse is fine with such game, touch would be only a bit more comfortable. So I wonder why pay for a same game I can play for free, I only have an iPad.

After 3 attempts the game is still very confuse for me, the only points I get are the portals, tunnels, jumps to do. Not bad 2/3mn spend but I don't feel motivated to put more time in the game. In short, not enough features and the 3 attempts look quite the same for me. Too abstract, the game works through symbolic panels and rough numbers.

Not sure what are the different gameplay features, those I quoted are interesting but there isn't many, the game has perhaps more.

Is the speed really so important for the gameplay? Probably for most players, for me not at all, and I'd prefer much much more a more concrete approach with a slower speed and no panels but see stuff coming, and more features and a non random mode with runs designed by hand crafting.

But I bookmarked the link to be able try later, that post is clearly an unfair first feeling.

amroc Spirit is awesome as well!
Back when it came out it was all the shit with me and my mates!
We'd sit at the back of the class where the teacher couldn't see us and have mini comps and stuff :p

Nerdy I know, but compared to doing trigonometry or whatever it was at the time it was good :)

Now this is high praise for a developer. Your game was so good that it disrupted his education to the point where he can't even remember what he was supposed to be learning! :p

I finally tried the flash and pretty much immediately had to get the app, but am I the only one who has a little trouble building up speed with the iPhone version compared to the flash version? Maybe I just had beginner's luck when I was playing it on my laptop, but it seemed like I was really flying compared to most of the time when I'm playing it now.

Also, there's no in-game pause is there?

anybody playing this on a 3GS - wondering if there are any lag / stutter issues with this game. I'm having that kind of trouble with both Monorace and Monster Dash right now, and it kind of ruins the fun for me. It happens just enough that I can never forget about it as I'm playing. How's solipskier?

i am running this on a first gen ipod touch and no lags on it
( but i also had no lags on the monorace beta , so i cant promise you 100% that it runs smooth on your iphone)
