You really cannot enjoy the game now that you know about the forks? Seriously? Just sell the damn things and don't go through the process of getting them again. Boom, "problem" solved. If you don't have the self discipline to not use an advantage that you don't actually like, then you have more important problems than anything you'll find in a video game. Just saying.
I'm a min/maxer. It's a fairly common trait among gamers. We like to gameplan for maximum efficiency and effect. We built perfect materia strings in ffvii. We grinded out perfect shakos in Diablo ii. We compulsively restart civilization boards to build the perfect empire. And flaws in your games bother us more than most. We're perfectionists. I imagine most of us somehow manage to slog through the days without our deep-seeded psychological problems causing much of a stir. I appreciate your heartfelt concern, however, lol.
hey guys! new to game, loving it so far. I had a question, I've reached lvl 225 now and wanna move on but should I move on to another dimension through the portal yet? when should i do that? Also when people are talking about getting to level 4-800 is that the first dungeon or different dimensions? any help would be great thank you
It's really up to you when you want to move on to a new dimension, but I would suggest you move on as soon as you can (i.e. defeating the top floor boss). You earn permanent bonuses each time you do it, one that is shared between all hired members and one that is for a specific class. These bonuses can also be upgraded using something called essence, which unlocks after your first new dimension and is dropped by monsters. When you decide to move remember that all soda, all equipment and all gold is reset. Upgrades to your tavern and pets are kept. I don't remember if essence is kept or not. After dimension 10 you are put into the "Warrior's Dimension" which is basically just endless mode with no final boss. This is where people climb to floor 1000+.
Merchant 500G and VIP questions Part of the Merchant info says '50/50, 500 gold, chance to remove half of the targets hit points'. I understand the statement except for the 500G. Do they mean you have 500G deducted from your cash or does it mean that 500G is added to your amount? Or is it dependent on the outcome of the 50/50 flip? Also, in the VIP section, what does Coat Check actually do? What do they mean by 'saving loadout preferences for a class'? Absolutely love this game, different and innovative. BTW, the 'Fork' ruins it though. I outfitted all my guys with them, and it just makes the game TOO easy! I no longer use them. Maybe as the game goes on and it gets way harder, but for now I enjoy the game much more without them. I think this is kind of an 'Easter egg' anyway... I'm in the latter stages of Dimension 4. To the developers: Thanks very much for a great new game!
Never seen a fork , played since it came out. Refresh my guys thousands of time, never seen them have a fork. Never seen the other soda junkie dude with a fork
Question: Achievement Hello all! frisbee10461 here! I have a question concerning the last achievement that I have to get. It's the one where one you win a battle only by defending. The name of the achievement is Take the High Road Can anyone provide some tips on how to unlock this achievement? This is the only remaining achievement for me, and I am a bit of a completist. Thanks, and have a great day! frisbee10461
Keep the Forks Hello, all! frisbee10461 here I had a chance to look at the new update [version 1.0.0.7], and I'm not sure why I would install the update. The Dark Gem bug is not worth nerfing down the forks. If I were the developer, I would keep the forks as part of the game. To me, this is a pretty cool deal. For those who do not want the forks, you do not have to equip them. In fact, if you don't know about Dinner Boy, it's not easy to obtain, so I would leave it up to the user to exercise restraint. As for me, I like the idea of forking my opponents over. Also, why not create a poll and see who is pro-fork, and who is anti-fork. Let the people decide!!! Just my two cents, frisbee10461
that happened to me too..,I went to dimension two w max tavern and only sofa junkies and refreshed soooo many times...Reddit explained that the key is to have auto equip off. try that. once I did that I seriously saw two dinner boys per refresh..
What good is the 'Shop'? It seems that the Shop in the Tavern is good only at the beginning of the game. I'm about to enter Dimension 5 and since the very early stages of this otherwise excellent game, the Shop dealer never has anything new to sell. I realize that you can get many new items by just playing the game, but the more esoteric items that go in the last slot are very hard to come upon. Cash being much easier to come by as you get further would mean for some exorbitant prices for really useful objects later on. That would be a good thing, I think. It would make getting a large amount of money something to strive for because you would have someplace to use it for besides the VIP section. Some of this might be addressed in the next patch, I know. Great game though. It really is something different in an industry that has a tendency to just keep putting out the same stale old ideas. We need more companies to take chances like this.
Answering questions For those wondering how to get the items that boost your drop rate and other rare stuff, I would suggest sending a party of 5 thieves and a healer to grind through as many levels as they can. If my observations are any indication (not that I've carefully measured and calculated anything), the thief's %20 chance of better items is cumulative so a party of 4 thieves gets significantly better stuff, meaning a better chance of getting the items which improve your drops (Vaan's Magnet and the Royal Shield are the two I've found) Regarding the merchant 50/50 ability, it means you spend 500g to use the ability (yes, even if it fails). They will tend to use this if you autoplay it so be careful with that, particularly if you're in early levels where it's less certain that you'll get your money back.
Win by blocking only For the person asking about how to win by only blocking, there are numerous equipment items which reflect damage back to the attacker. Equip some of those and defend yourself against something weakish and it will eventually kill itself.
Awesome game, I've been iOS gaming since the beginning and there's not many games that aren't in my purchase history. Having said that, this is the first game that I've installed onto my iPad & iPhone and played simultaneously on both devices at the same time. Very addictive. The only problem I have with the game is a crash that occurs 90% of the time when selling items to the shop. Normally after selling about fifty items it consistently crashes.
