He's actually more clever than strong, as he's always positioned in the right place. He doesn't ever need to be strong because of how good he is at blocking off your path.

Looks cool but the goalkeeper just stands there and look how the ball got through. Is this normal? I want my keeper to keep lol
And is there gonna be "fire shot" "blizzard shot" and "electric shot" ect? Would be cool! Thx

    @Masterwill

The goalkeeper just stands there because of the Super Drink which is used, and gives you a major advantage on the level. The goalkeeper is normally an all action, heroic last line of defence....although we haven't revealed him yet :D

    Introducing the Goalie

The common soccer commentator seems to believe that goalkeepers are a strange bunch. We're not sure if it's because there doesn't seem to be an ex-goalie who is now a commentator, or if it really is that goalkeepers were the odd one out.

The only thing we can say for certain is that Goalies are incredibly brave, have cat like reflexes, love shouting at defenders.....and always seem to have crazy eyes. Could it be the years of standing at the back by themselves?

The Soccer Moves goalie isn't dangerous like Jens Lehmann, doesn't have luminous kits like Jorge Campos, he doesn't sit on the bench like Iker Casillas and he doesn't have a fondness for tacos like David De Gea (not our words).

He is however incredibly brave, even though he has a slightly crazy glint in his eye. He's also an excellent opponent in Soccer Moves!

Can anyone tell me which goalie invented 'the scorpion kick'?

HIGUITA of course..but i saw something like that from a brazilian forward player before. But this goalkeeping from colombian higuita was amazing cool!!
You said Jens Lehmann..im from germany...Jens Lehmann just did only 1 time
a karate move on the field as far as i know..Oliver Kahn is Germans Ex national keeper and he was good and a beast. He did several kung fu moves lol and we called him "the monkey" cause he was so crazy and loud on the field.

Can you make a contest and best 3 peoples suggested kit will get their kit for free?

    I have a few:
    Spiderman ( for goalie )
Roboter ( messi; so forward )
    Iron man
    Slenderman
    Superman
    Monkey Masks
    Freddy Krüger
    Hannibal
    Elmo
    Dragon Ball
    One Piece
    Bruce Lee
    Fantastic Four
Old Presidents of USA like Bill Clinton
    Super Mario
    Boxer
    Tennis Player
    Teletubbies
    Gangsters

Thats what i got for now

Higuita it was. He was also really good at taking free kicks wasn't he?

    He definitely earned the reputation!

    Hardman Movie Poster

We have a special wallpaper gift for any fans of Soccer Moves. We love the Hardman and felt he deserved a new poster of his own, so we mocked up a 'movie poster' for him.

Let us know what you think. We could make more for the others, just let us know which movie poster to take inspiration from.

The sweeper doing his skill "stand on the ball" would be cool.

Very very soon! We're busy sending in to Apple as we speak...we're very tired now, but happy with where we are.

Keep checking in for news over the next week.

@masterwill - we'll put that in to create!

    Wingback Intro

Introducing the Wingback from Soccer Moves!

Wingback's have become integral to the current 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 formations as they provide the width going forward, but also expected to get back when needed. They're generally quick, powerful and can run all day. The might not be great going from side to side, but definitely know how to get back and forward.

Legends include Roberto Carlos, Dani Alves, Philip Lahm, Carlos Alberta! Even the worlds most expensive player, Gareth Bale started as a wingback. They've become key and vital to the top teams of today.

This defender is inspired by one person though. Flashy, unfaithful, petulant and arrogant. At the same time he's quick, powerful and probably the most consistent and best left back in the world.

Can you name the this person who inspired our Wingback?
