It is like your game is comic-version of "Score"-Game. It seems to be fun but ill know if its good when i play it first time. Is there any super kick or super pass? Some special shoot? Cause that is what i thought would be in your game. I hope there is sth like that or is going to be in future update. Thx for sharing your gameplay-vid
There is indeed super kicks and better passes depending on timing as well as progress. Your player, and animations, will improve as you get better.
The characters (defenders) are what we feel is the strong point in the game. Each defender moves in a different way, influenced by their different personality. Hardman for instance isn't very quick, so he can only tackle (or punch) you from the eight blocks around him - he also isn't very good at intercepting, so you can use this against him. All of the defenders each have their traits which make it a tactical battle.
Each of the defenders then have different influences for tackle, intercept and run. These are all based on the personalities and work a bit like a chess piece. Sweeper for instance can run two right/left and one forward. His intercept is 2 left/right since he is pretty good at sweeping up, but his tackle zone is terrible in front or behind him. Hardman is terrible at intercepting as he mostly wants to hit you - so you cant really dribble around him, you should instead look to pass and stay as far away as possible!
Shield Intro Our next defender is the Shield who is inspired mostly by Makhelele, who basically created this type of defensive player. He might not be the most glamourous, but might have the most important role on the pitch. He breaks up attacks, protects the defense and quickly gets it to the forwards to attack. These days it's as if teams can't be successful without a Makhelele, Flamini, Simeone, Deshamps and lets not forget Dunga! Let us know which are your favourite defensive midfielders!
As a defender the Shield is great at intercepting and covering the area in front of the box. He's great at getting back and getting in the way, making it very difficult to get passes through. Much like Makhelele you need to be really clever to get through levels with this defender!
Chess-like Gameplay The one thing we've not really elaborated on for the gameplay, is that we the defenders each have their own movement, which makes the tactical element very similar to chess. With each defender having their own strengths and weaknesses, levels are lines up to take advantage of this. The player (you) need to figure out how best to get around the defenders, and really learn how they move and can be used. Much like in chess the defenders each have very particular skills, making matches incredibly tactical and puzzles interesting to solve. If anyone has any further questions about the gameplay, please feel free to ask!
I hope its eas and fast to play. No long timers between each action. Smooth animations would be important to me too. Is there gonna be a moderator in this game who comment each move or each goal or defending move. Would be cool.
The game is fairly quick and fast to play. In fact it's entirely dependant on you as the defenders react to your moves. If you want to take some time to think of a move you can, but you're able to very quickly try to score. There are two things to complete on each level: (1) you can score, this completes the level and allows you to proceed (2) you can achieve the objective, this is much harder and is there to challenge the user who wants to be challenged. You can choose how you want to play.
The Sweeper The fourth defender being revealed today is the elegant Sweeper. There are few few truly classy sweepers in the game at the moment, but this is related to tactical changes rather than them not being important. The Sweeper is generally the classiest of defenders, the player that doesn't make that many tackles, mostly because he's always in the right place at the right time. He reads the game as if it was a pop-up book, always knowing where to be before the attackers even realize themselves. Elegant, classy, tactically superb and calm in defense, the Sweeper is calmness personified! Classic sweepers include Passarella, Hansen, Nesta, Blanc, Baresi, and my personal favorite - Beckenbauer. Soccer Moves' Sweeper is inspired by the best of these, we hope he does them justice! If you can name a better sweeper than Beckenbauer we'll reward you with a new Hardman promo poster image.
