I wanted to see it opening night, but tickets sold out in all the theaters nearby, even the 3:00am Imax show! Guess I'll just have to wait
I saw it last night and loved it. Thought it was going to be terrible but was way better than the first one. Might not be to everyone's tastes though but as a summer action flick its pretty awesome and i'd watch it again for sure.
In Singapore, all cinemas refresh their movie lineup on Wednesdays (~early afternoon) so tickets for the weekend can only be bought as early as Wednesday. Well, at least this was what I thought was true (and its been true for a long time) until yesterday (Tuesday). Went online to check how long the movie was but saw that it was already being sold and virtually all slots were full, across 3 major cinemas. In the end, I had to settle for a movie at 11am on Sunday lol Was lucky to find relatively good seats at all actually
I guess I am the only one that isn't excited about it. I just watched "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian" and I really liked it, but I am not really into Transformers.
I wish I had a vid from that episode of South Park where the government interviewed a bunch of movie directors to get an idea on how to implement something related to plot. One of the directors they interviewed was Michael Bay and his entire idea basically amounted to making explosion noises. I think that perfectly sums up why I'm not terribly excited about this movie either. The other reason would be Shia "I'd love to bang my own mom" LeBeouf. Some say the only reason to see this is Megan Fox, to which I say "If I really want to do that, I can just look up screens and scenes of the movie online...for free".
+1 You had to add that didnt you? J/K I want to go see it but I'm not desperate to see it...Looks really good imo.
Awesome movie! If you're not occupied by the non stop action, chicks are all over the show! I don't want to be a spoiler on other details but its a must watch!
Hope it is better than the first one. Too much hype over #1,.. it was just special effects and Megan Fox. It was too ridiculous at times: the "S" t-shirt the guy was wearing, or maybe how bumblebee "pee'd" on him? It was a bit over the top, and it took away any sci-fi feeling the movie had.
I'm a big transformer fan. Been collecting the toys since G1 and I thought the movie was mediocre. Sure I see the hollywood in action with the big explosions and fights, but the plot of it all. ... why? ... I had that same feeling when I was watching the DBZ evo movie. ... on a related topic... anybody read up on the Constructicon toys? Apparently the Constructicons sets are being released in 2 sets, where 1 set of the constructicons can transform into their robot forms, but cannot combine into Devastator... and another set where they can't transform into their robot forms, but can combine into devastator. Now that's lazy. Of course I've heard also about a legends class version of Devastator where the constructicons can transform into their bot mode and combine into Devastator... but it's the legends class <_<... you can't devastate with a pee size Devastator >_>... It's further disappointing that the Animated series has been canceled, so the animated Devastator toy (which hasn't been shown in the show) would never be made.
Great movie. Im probably going to see it again and again like the first one. The fight scenes and all the bigger and badder guys were just amazing. What ruined it though was all the fangirl screams through the whole movie and for some reason during the previews when the Avatar:The Last Airbender movie came up. All I can say for those who haven't seen it is that OptimusPrime is a freakin' beast!
