Does anyone know if you can upgrade to 4.0 from a different computer/iTunes then you sync with? I sync with my Mac at home, but would like to install the update here at work if possible.

I think so. As long as it is one of your authorized computers. Go ahead and give it a try.

apple is releasing it globally at the same time, just to see that the servers will break down *lol* hoped they would do it as the release of a new gameloft app, australia first, then as the sun rises in all other. bummer.

I'm a bit confused if I should (or not) upgrade to iOS4 right now?

I have 8 pages full of games on my iTouch 3rd Gen - will these be compatible and fully functinal on the new OS?

  8. I've only come across one game that is borked on OS4 (American McGee's Crooked House, it loads but the frame rate is so slow it's utterly unplayable) but everything else has been working at least as well as it was on 3.x. There may be others but I've yet to come across one.

OS4 is worth it just for folders alone. The rest is gravy.

How many times will you make me press that "Check for Update" button Apple? Eventually I will wear the button out, and then what?

    :)
