Yeah, he's probably on of the most skilled rappers ever. Dance with the Devil is the most intense song in the history of music and the point of no return has a really strong message. I'm glad he makes music that actually says somthing important unlike all these new hip hop/rap artists who just talk about money, hoes, and drugs.
I really like Killswitch Engage, All that remains, As I lay dying, Between the buried and me, etc.. Currently listening to Parkway Drive.
Billy Talent Chevelle Cage The Elephant Thousand Foot Krutch Cursive Zebrahead Seether SR71 Disturbed A Perfect Circle and I'm probably forgetting a few.
Cage the Elephant White Stripes Muse The Offspring Smashing Pumpkins Meatloaf Kalmah Black Sabbath The Pixies
You could literally be me, I'm also a massive fan of: Faunts Muse Portishead XX Deltron Tupac Nas ... I agree and disagree (this isn't war, just discussion) whilst a lot of popular rap at the moment is, to be blunt, shit, rap as a genre is being pulled down by that. I never listen to rap on the radio, but I do have it on my iPod (it is a touch, surprisingly) I was thoroughly depressed when I was in a car and my friends were talking about how good this rap song was when the stupidest song in the world goes "I got so many clothes I have to keep them in my aunts house" and I just sat there, slightly depressed. I do like some metal, but the lighter side more
Really - I meet so few people who actually share any semblance of the taste I have - cool As far as rap goes - I am more partial to hip-hop & its derivatives. Rap is a vocal technique as far as when I listen to it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Like any technique it should be applied with grace and understanding of the music it is being used in.
I love the pixies, Where is my Mind is probably the greatest song ever. I also really like how articulate he is. Look up some of his interviews on youtube, he's really intelligent.
I basically listen to post-hardcore, hardcore, and a bit of metalcore. Example bands: The Devil Wears Prada, August Burns Red, Of Mice and Men, The Subtle Way, We Came as Romans etc. And then I also like some classics and Bob Marley of course
Indeed. That made Fight Club's ending unforgettable. ... Same with Observe and Report's ending, if you've ever seen that piece of shit.
Plan B is well good, however i'm disapointed he went from rap to soul... Anyway atm i'm listening to alot of of camo & krooked (realy good quality drum and base. Check them out) also i'm starting to listen to a bit of chase & status. Their dubstep is realy good, even though i'm not a massive dubstep fan.
