I just found on Apple's support page that if you're going to re-hydrate your device, you have to use a water filter for best results. Is there a thread, or can anyone suggest what the best water filter might be? If you can PM me the link I can just download it to my memory card. Also, you can just take your device into the Genius Bar to get it hydrated. They'll take your device, toss it in a barrel full of water with about 2 dozen other devices, and you bob your head in and the one you can successfully pull out with your teeth is your replacement device. Just be careful they didn't hide a razor blade inside one of them.
Yes, right into my trap! I sort of wanna keep this up, and see if we can actually get yourofl to submerge his iPhone in water.
No worries; just take it back to your Apple vendor and tell them you don't know how it got so dry, and you want it replaced under warranty. If they refuse to do it and give you some nonsense about it being your own fault, just throw a temper tantrum and insist that they replace their shoddy product under warranty!
Only because evryone has been posting off topic crap that I'm not going to respond to, so I'll ask again Since my iPod touch is still under warrenty and the headphone Jack water detector isn't pinkish IF it breaks, can I get it repaired under warrenty?
Yeah, but it didn't answer my question and I'm not gonna throw a tantrum in the middle of the apple store. But thanks for posting something accually relative to the thread
Ok, here's this then; Its quite possible that your warranty may be void, however, since you said it isn't entirely pink or whatever color its supposed to turn, if they asked you could just say you were jogging and some sweat might've seeped in. Since it hasn't been triggered entirely I don't think they would deny you. Either way, its worth a shot to go to the Genius Bar because they're always helpful.
I got that it was a joke I long time ago. Besides it's an iPod Touch, plus Apple has it because it's getting repaired for a broken home button.
