Sonic the Hedgehog 4 was a good platformer. League of Evil is also definately one of my fave iPhone games. (You should be able to tell I like fast paced games) I got Bounce On 2 a about a week ago for free and its pretty good. What I want is a castlevania type game though. Anyone know any good ones like that? Or maybe a contra type game?
My best platformer is: EDGE and then: Mos Speedrun League of Evil They Need to be Fed Kami Retro Max & The Magic Marker Robot Wants Kitty Trundle Unlimited

A couple of my favorite platformers have been (ever since my ipod touch days a couple of years ago) are archilbalds advenure, toki tori (also favorites on the PC). The quickhook games are fun, and the bounce on games too. And lets not forget rick dangerous. I really like edge, but I consider it more of a puzzle game. Babylonian twins is pretty good too. Both puzzle and platformer types have always been among my favorite genres
I don't really have many platformer but, from what I have, my favorites are: Frogatto Ready Action! I looooove them
Really good selection of games here, but i dont think of Kami Retro as a platformer... and have to check that Trundle game...
I think that Bounce On 1 and 2 are the best. Next to them it's the Rolandos and Thief Lupin. Then Stone Wars, Hoggy and Pilot Winds.
I have to say my favorite is League of Evil currently but it's not for everyone as it can be a bit brutal, for the masochist in you. I also enjoyed Robot Wants Kitty for the metroidvania fan in me. Hoggy is also very solid if it is considered a platformer.
My preferences (fav at top): 1. Edge 2. Max and magic marker 3. League of Evil 4. Rolando 5. Robot wants Kitty 6. Karoshi 7. Pix'n'Mix Based on the platform games I own. Don't own Mos Speedrun or Elemental Rage.
