Don't know if I made it in time, but I sent my info.
The update is looking good, this one will have more content than FC when it gets released.

It's today, but keith needs to fix a few things.

They can't be rushed cause that just means more work for him later.

    Got it - thanks!

Got yours too - thank you!

Haha - glad you're excited! Well, we leave for dinner at about 6:30pm EST, so I'm guessing we'll be sending the beta out around... 6:29pm :) Keith is obsessing and can't be stopped.

Also, he's whistling the soundtrack as he tests. I know I wrote it and everything, but I don't think I'll be able to get that soundtrack out of my head for months :)

Ok, we now have all the beta testers we're allowed to have - thanks to everyone who volunteered!

Going to do some final testing here and send this out ASAP. Can't wait to get feedback from everyone!

lets discuss the features of this game
so far i know you must lead ships into harbor
    do they have to leave?
also what are some other features?
    any planned updates?

Natty already said that YES the ships must drop off the cargo then leave

She also posted that Cyclones are in the game

I posted about adding things like geographical hazards (rocks and shallow reefs) but there was no confirmation from her or keith, though posters seemed to like it.

I don't know if they can plan updates to a game that is almost in public beta. Cause technically everything is still a possibility for the release build

I think Natty did say something about possibly adding a map editor later on if the game is successful

Very true, but it wouldn't be in game. It would be a separate project just like the level editor for Little Red Sled

Hey guys, we're soooo close. We just pushed back dinner to 7:30 so that Keith can polish up a few more things. He's trying to make it perfect for you. Should be out within the hour.

    As for features:

    - Yes, as VeganTNT mentioned, you need to guide boats in AND OUT of the docks.

    - Your score is based on how much cargo you receive, not how many boats you dock. Different boats carry different amounts of cargo.

    - We are starting out with 3 levels (unlockable). The first level, Fishing Bay, is straightforward, just to get you in the rhythm of the game. The second level, Cyclone Island, has... cyclones (did anybody guess that one? ;) ). If you're anything like me, you will be cursing at those cyclones a LOT. In the last level, Sturgeon Creek, you can't just dock your boats anywhere - you need to deliver specific cargo to specific docks. That's the only level I don't have a record on. I'll get it eventually. It's my white whale ;)

(@blakespot - how do you like our level names? ;) )

It's cool because although the differences between the levels are subtle, they dramatically affect the gameplay. You will probably be better at some levels than others, and will have some favorites, and can choose to play some rather than others depending on your mood.

As for geographical hazards - we've toyed around with a bunch, but crashing into rocks was just not fun. I vetoed that one :)

As to plans for updates - wow, do we ever have them. Obviously, there are a LOT of new levels that we can add. I'm sure we'll hear lots of great suggestions from you guys as well. We would also LOVE to do a level editor. It's a pretty big technical challenge though, so first we need to see if the game does well. If does, rest assured that we will be adding to it nonstop :D
