    Can we get a version number somewhere in the app? If not the title screen, how about on the credits screen?

    Cool new icon. It looks kind of navy-ish though.

    Hey guys,

    Just made a quick update to the server side to fix some issues with the global stats. Here is what I changed:

    1) Added more stats. Now you can sort by Best Shifts | Avg Shift | Shifts Worked | Total Cargo

    2) Changed the back button to always go back to the main global stats page

    3) Fixed the paging buttons so they work.

    4) Changed the background a bit to make it less boring.

    Still more work to do here, but that's a start and fixes some of the issues that have been bugging me.

    As for the main splash screen logo. That is our logo, but I am considering changing it to be blue for this game, just for fun. I like some of the other ideas too. It's pretty low on my priority list right now though.

    Well don't I feel like an idiot. I needed to sync, then I saw it.

    I like what you've done with the stats.

    I think the app looks/plays great. Definitely a release candidate at this point.

    We actually haven't announced it, but I think we'll release at $0.99. The price will probably go up as we add more content.

    VERY polished and fun.

    I've played the new maps in FC and found Harbor Master to be much more fun. The Ports themselves have a simple layout. The challenge comes from the speeds of the boats and the gameplay twists that two of the fields add to the mix.

    ya i didnt expect them too but i figured id give it my opinion, i like there logo and it doesnt take away from the game. it was just a thought, i should try there other games this one is great!

    haha it is a good update, im going to have both on my ipod. my girlfriend is trying to decide if she wants to buy flight control or wait for this as she doesnt want both. i told her to probably wait for this one

    Absolutely. Will be tweeting, posting here, shouting from the rooftops, etc. It will probably be a couple of weeks, though. We plan to submit this Friday, and then we have to wait for approval.

    Wow, thanks for the recommendation! Yeah, I played the FC update for a while yesterday - pretty awesome stuff.

    What price do you anticipate for launch?

    Screenshots look great, looking forward to trying this out.

    How much do you plan on selling it for?

    Also, do the boats disappear when you dock them or do you have to route them back out?

    Hey lefthand,

    We will probably start the price at $0.99, and increase it as we add more content.

    And you're right on the boats - they don't disappear when you dock them. After docking, the boats take a few seconds to unload, and then you need to redirect them out in order to free up the dock again.

    Hello guys!

    Just sent out beta 4. Almost there!

    The following improvements and bug fixes are included in this release:

    1) Added content to the instructions screen
    2) Added multi-touch support
    3) Improved performance and fixed a few memory leaks. The game should be running close to 60fps instead of 30 now.
    4) Another change to the icon.
    5) A few minor changes to the smoothness of boat paths

    Since we're getting close to release. I wanted to ask a few more questions:

    1) Unlocking ports - Do you think it's necessary? Would you prefer if we just had all ports open from the start? The reason I originally locked the ports was to get people to start with Fishing Bay, because it was the simplest game play. However, it seems that most people's favorite is either Cyclone Island and Sturgeon Creek. Also, I've noticed that a few beta testers haven't unlocked all 3 ports yet.

    2) Background music bug - at one point people were experiencing trouble where the background music would stop playing. Are people still having this issue? It should be fixed, and I can't reproduce it any more. Also, are people having any trouble playing their own iTunes background music instead of the in game music? This should work too.

    3) Icon - What do you think of the new anchor icon? It's not done, still a concept, and we'd clean it up / fix the border / perhaps change the colors etc. Just interested in hearing what you think.

    Thank you guys so much! We're almost done. Just a few minor changes left to make before release!

    I just got beta 4 and I'm really loving this game. Here is some quick feedback since I'm pretty busy with revision (for school exams) at the moment but I'm feeling a bit guilty since I haven't given much feedback:

    1) I quite like having to unlock ports, I think it brings you into the game better. Also since you only have to have a certain amount of total cargo you just have to keep playing the game until you get that amount and it's not too challenging. So keep the need to unlock new ports. :)

    2) I haven't encountered the background music bug at all.

    3) I think the new icon looks all right and would look pretty good if the white border around it is taken off, but at the moment it just looks awkward. I personally prefer the last icon with the ships, it just looked more exciting.

    I'm really enjoying this game and I think it blows Flight Control right out of the water (air?). I look forward to seeing it in the App Store.

    Also I'm also interested as to how the artwork evolved over time.

    I will be buying this game the moment it comes out. @nattylux and kshep: will you post an itunes link on twitter when it comes out? Or even just that its out.. I'm excited for this :)
