[Day 249 Update] Currently adding more emotions to the playable characters. Here's an example of Kon for an illustration Looks like it's the monster's turn... and it attacks! Ouch that hurts! >.<
[Day 253 Update] Added more emotions for characters. This is how your character looks like when he/she isn't attacking or getting attacked. Now when your character attacks the enemy, his/her expression will change to become serious! On top of that, I have added blinking animations for characters! This will bring them to life! Here's how Kon look like when he's blinking More to come!
[Day 257 Update] New version uploaded onto TestFlight! Here's what have changed for this new version. ~ NEW ~ 1) Gameplay - Added pushable rocks for the 1st world! - Added connecting tunnels for the 1st world! - Added several new monsters for the 1st world (Wood Groves)! - Most of the existing monsters also have new skills added for them! - New stage ranks added! It is now possible to get ranks C and D now. Don't aim to get them! 2) Visuals - Redesigned stages for both the Wood Groves and Rune Deserts! ~ CHANGES ~ 1) Healer types now have the ability to heal other monsters. In exchange, they will not be able to self-heal/self-regen anymore. ~ BUG FIXES ~ 1) Gameplay - Fixed a bug that causes bonuses from equipment to keep stacking. ~ UPCOMING ~ 1) Gameplay - More monsters coming up for the deserts! 2) Universal Support I am aiming for a release date in the early 2nd half of 2013. While Small Chronicles currently only has 2 playable characters, more are already planned either before the release or as future updates.
[Day 262 Update] In order to have the characters, monsters and other objects really have the feeling of being in the environment, I have begun to redraw them. Here's what 1 of the beginning stages now look like On top of that I have also added animations for monsters. Will be showing them in a second gameplay trailer soon! ^^
[Day 265 Update] Redrew most of the monsters and added animations for them for the Wood Groves. Once that's done, I'll begin on redrawing and adding monsters for the deserts Btw, here's another redrawn monster of the Wood Groves More coming soon ^-^
[Day 268 Update] Finished redesigning the monsters for the wood groves! Here are more screenshots of what some of them look like now Will be moving on to the monsters in the deserts! Let me know if you really want to see a certain monster appear in the deserts! (who knows that it may really appear in the game? )
[Day 272 Update] Have begun redrawing the monsters and interact-able objects in the deserts Also adding new monsters to the sands while doing that. On top of that, I have also came up with a few new ideas for Small Chronicles ~ Ω Surprise stage objectives! These objectives will come randomly when you start any stage! And when you complete one of these, you'll get extra rewards on top of the usual ones! Ω Lore books ~ Collect each and every lore book to unfold the story and lore behind the world of Small Chronicles! Who knows what might happen if you complete each lore book collection? (yes there'll be different sets) Let me know what you think/feel about them Oh and more screenshots coming soon! ^^
[Day 276 Update] I have begun on the monsters of the Rune Deserts. The traps and other interact-able in-game objects are also being redrawn as I speak. Here's what one of the stages now look like ~ There will also be rocks and tunnels added to the Rune Deserts Will be moving on to the skills of the new monsters in the deserts once they have been drawn ^^ More screenshots coming!
[Day 281 Update] I have finished redrawing all the monsters for the deserts! Here's a sneak peek at one of the new monsters! Will be adding skills for each of the new monsters (yes every monster has its own unique skill) I know that doing so will make the monsters really challenging ~ but hey what's a fun game without any challenge? btw bosses have multiple skills more screenshots coming!
[Day 287 Update] While adding skills for each of the new monsters, I have also been increasing the interactivity between different object types in the game. Here's an example where Kon is about to push a rock up onto a blessing (which usually gives a temporary stat bonus upon getting it) And when he does, the blessing shatters and affects the surrounding enemies with its reversed effect ~ This is just an example as there are many other different things you can do with the objects of Small Chronicles (not just their primary usage) More updates coming soon! ^^

[Day 304 Update] Almost done with all the monster skills! While that is going on, I'll like to introduce an one and only Elite monster - The Goblin Elder! While it isn't as tough as bosses, it is definitely stronger than regular monsters and have multiple skills to complement that! So be careful when u come across one And as always, more updates coming soon! P.S - more elite monsters coming soon?
[Day 306 Update] Just uploaded a new test build (v1.0.4.1 alpha) onto TestFlight! ~ NEW!! ~ 1) Gameplay - New monsters added for the deserts! 2) Story - Game dialogue has been updated to tell the backstory bits by bits! 2) Visuals - Monsters and characters now have animations! - Redesigned several in-game objects (blessings,rocks,traps & etc) ~ BUG FIXES ~ 1) Fixed a bug which causes the game to crash upon selecting a stage ~ UPCOMING ~ (not in order) 1) Monster sounds and character voice-overs 2) Bonus stage objectives 3) Lore books
Added bonus objectives to the game! These objectives appear randomly and give additional rewards when cleared! More updates coming soon!
Changed how dialogues in the game show up! This way it will complement the voice-overs better! The previous way (bubble over character's head) will only be used for the game's tutorial.
