Sleepy Mouse update plan...thoughts? Hello CheeseHeads! So here's the current plan for Sleepy Mouse updates...any thoughts? A lot of this is based on feedback I've already received from some of you, which I really appreciate. Thanks. Fixes and improvements V1.1 Add gold star count to stage picker Display current highest score and level number when completing a level. Personal score and Game Center (if possible) Zoom out camera when dragging out of shot so that whole level can still be viewed Everyplay to only record current try not all tries of a level Put some sort of counter/indicator on breakthroughs to show how many hits are needed Achievements in the Game Center No prompts to skip a level after a level is complete i.e when returning to get a higher score Everyplay put the level name and score at front of name for easier search Better visual effects - Sort out bounce bonus to be something other than the current white numbers flashing up and red numbers falling down Increase size of shot indicators to be the size of cheese Fix magical-multiplying-sheep found by Cowboy Henk Fix the problem of first touch on cheese not registering sometimes, at the beginning of a level No need to click Next to unlock the next level and update score will do this automatically when level is complete Camera will pan more effectively when dragging the cheese, when close to the edge of the screen. This will mainly improve playability on phone screens V2 Will aim for 2-3 new stages... Fast surfaces - will move away from wall surface and move to high speed bathroom tiles Will have multiple screen levels, with the ability to transport between parts of a level through plug holes and pipes Different types of helper cheese (aside from the blue cheese) which have different abilities, possibly strong cheese with breakthrough power, soft cheese that won’t set off alarms or radios, smelly cheese that has another ability Will have a more logical difficulty curve Different types of obstacles
Don't worry about the magical sheep multiplication. We often find glitches in puzzlers that give higher scores. The problem is that if you fix the cloning, new players won't be able to reach the same scores as old players which ruins the leaderboard. The main risk when keeping the glitch is that someone finds a way to create an infinite score which also destroys the leaderboard. I know that apart from myself, ctay and Pantsjo also have scores in the 3,000's. One thing you could do is to cap individual level scores to say 5,000 to avoid infinity. The delay actually happens at the beginning of each level. Can be quite annoying. Would love to see this one gone. Another thing I would really appreciate is a quick replay after level completion without having to go to everyplay. Preferably an option to save the best score for later viewing as well. If this is complex, drawing the path would be a useful alternative. Is this something that could work for you?
Hey Since ctay told me about the game i had to try it again and this time i completed the first chapter. What is the total high for this first 25 levels?
Good to see you here cy@n. Look forward to see some of your magic. According to scores of current top 4, max for chapter 1-3 are: 36,600 40,400 37,300
I agree too. Leave the glitch and cap the max. Also charge for the game if you want. And someone go to the CP forum and "alert" the catters to come play with the Sleepy Mouse.
Feedback Awesome! Thanks everyone! Great feedback, I'll get working on it...time to get coding! Give me a shout if you fancy helping with testing v1.1
Yeah! Got at least 1300 on every level . Level 40 took me all evening though . Still don't think i can catch up with Cowboy Henk. Then again: It makes sense that you cannot beat a Cow-boy on a cheese-game...
Awesome finds! I saw your replay of lvl 40. Amazing that angle and just in time before the mouse awakes. Myself still stuck with 2 1,200 levels. Good to see there is still room for improvement though. Glad to see you in club 110
Top cheese! Amazing Cowboy.Henk! Thanks so much for offering to help with testing 1.1 - really appreciate it. Will be sure to let you know when I've got a feel for timings. Loving the dedication Pantsjo! Congratulations! Can't wait...bring on the cheese feast!!
