    Hi all!

I've just released v1.1 of my Sleep Cycle alarm clock!

    Here's some info about it:
    _______________

The revolutionary Sleep Cycle alarm clock wakes you when you are in the lightest sleep phase - a natural way to wake up where you feel rested and relaxed.

Sleep Cycle monitors your movement during sleep using the extremely sensitive accelerometer in your iPhone. Sleep Cycle then finds the optimal time to wake you up during a 30 minute window that ends at your set alarm time.

Look at the screenshots for recommended iPhone placement.

Sleep Cycle was developed using proven sleep science and five months of exhaustive testing.

    REQUIREMENTS
Ability to charge your phone by your bed
Ability to place your iPhone according to the instructions (see screenshots)
Sleep Cycle does not work with Tempur mattresses

Please note that we no longer support iPod Touch.

    _______________

The old version (1.0) had some problems, this is why some reviews for version 1.0 are negative. The new v1.1 works perfectly and all reviews for it are positive (8 five star reviews in three days! [although we haven't received any reviews for 1.1 in USA yet =( ]).

Anyone that is interested in writing a review on the App Store is welcome to message me to get a promo code!

Sadly for me, I don't have a good sleeping pattern. I go to bed at like, 4am and wake up at 9:30 every day.

It'd probably label you as a spasmatic sleeper.

We haven't done any testing on waterbeds. The algorithm is adaptive and learns to interpret your movement through a variety of mattresses.. so it might be able to work on a waterbed too. Not sure though!

It would be super if you would be interested in giving it a try and getting back to me with feedback. I'll be happy to give you a promo code. PM me for a code!

I've been looking for something like this.

How does it handle two people in the bed, with one getting up before the other? Will the first person's movements alter the readings?

    Ryoma- any impressions?

I'd like to try it- sent a PM.

Short version: no, it's not a problem.

We've done a lot of testing with two persons in bed. Since you have the phone on your side of the bed your body will actually block the movement signals from the other person on most, if not all, beds.

I would like to know about this too. My wife and I would both like to use this app, but wondering about the two-person thing. Already paid for the app though.

I've heard of alarm clocks with this function a long time ago, but they were mentioned to be quite expensive! So finding an app for the iPhone doing basically the same thing for only .99 dollars is quite a nice find.

    So thanks for that :)

I wonder if it will be compatible with me, though ... I'm one of those peeps who lie on the bed and naturally fall asleep while doing something else, like gaming on the PSP, NDS or the iPhone (nowadays). If I play anything on the iPhone, I will most likely not be conscious enough to start this app beforehand, and that kinda defeats the purpose does it not?

Also, I always wake up like, half n hour before my alarm clock goes off, and generally have no problem getting up. And I set it at 7am. What if this app disturbs my natural sleeping pattern? ;P

So even though I think it's a great idea, ands loads of people probably need this badly, maybe I'm not one of them. Still, I might support you guys by buying this anyway :)

    Questions:

Can this app save different profiles (for different people) with their respective sleeping patterns?

Are the patterns saved for later perusal with detailed statistics and graphs?

Can this app keep me from nodding off in meetings by sensing me entering drowsiness stage and just give me an electric shock or something? :)

    Cheers!

So have you guys tried it? I'm interested in your reviews. I know its only .99 cents, however i am trying to cut down on buying apps that eventually i remove to make room due to them not working.
