      Guys, please don't use franchise from the first poll for the 5th option. Put in other Slashers (no sci-fi.) Thanks!

      I voted Hellraiser, even though it's not really a slasher movie, it's still awesome.

      Psycho for sure. I saw that movie when i was 6 and it scared the hell out of me until i was 13

      I actually voted for Scream. Perhaps because it intentionally set out to be a slasher franchise rather than accidentally becoming part of the culture it ends up being the one that best fits the mold. It also knows not to take itself too seriously, which throws Hellraiser out (too much story, not enough slashing). Psycho I ruled out because it hasn't really held up too well beyond the one popular scene and Child's Play... just isn't as good as a series. Chucky is undoubtedly more awesome than a dude in a mask though, I've got a Chucky doll myself.
