All I really wanted to do was create a track that spelled out "I Love Apple!" Actually, it sounds like the track editor is going to be pretty neat. Will we eventually be able to share tracks with other users?
Heh you are totally reading my mind. If the track editor feature takes off, I want to build an online track exchange where you can upload your tracks, and download tracks uploaded by others. You should be able to browse by most recently uploaded tracks and most downloaded tracks. Was planning to use Google App Engine as the server backend for this.
My guess is Wednesday, if all goes well. When that happens, I'm thinking I'll close out this thread and start a new one in the games forum.

Yep -- submitted last Wednesday night. I'm hoping it will be approved tomorrow or Wednesday. I'll be super pissed if Apple rejects it for some obscure reason and asks for a resubmission, because I'm really anxious for this update to go out. I'll definitely look into how to make the coaster more "real" (pylons, lift hill, station, that sort of thing) though the challenge is not making the graphics lag. Basically I'm shooting for 45-50fps on average. I find that when it drops to ~30fps, the ride start to feel quite jerky.
SkyCoaster 3D *2.0* has been approved!! Watch for the update on your iDevice in a few hours. I'll start a new thread this evening on the games forum to answer questions people may have about the track editor. Btw an important change: The app is now called AirCoaster 3D because of alleged trademark issues. See here for my explanation. The 2.0 app still says SkyCoaster 3D because it was submitted a week ago, but 2.1, which we plan to submit in a few days, will use the AirCoaster name exclusively.
Update is out! D/L now . EDIT: Where is the track generator???? It's update...but only in the name. And it says something about the track editor...but I don't see it anywhere!!! Someone please let me know if I am being a complete dumbass! I cannot find it.. EDIT: nvm, thanks ibelongintheforums .
