Looks nice, do you actually build the coaster though? Would be nicer if it had little people in it like a themepark game!

Looks like a neat "look what my iDevice" can do, but not much of a game.

    Fergie's humps.
I don't really see the appeal. All you do is sit and watch your screen spin.

I've got it, and it rocks! And yes, it will make you hurl if you're prone to that on real rollercoasters

No, it's not a game, and no, you don't "create" the rollercoaster. It's a simulated rollercoaster that is created randomly. You choose one of 6 environments - actual photographic panoramas - and mess with various parameters such as height, amount of the track that is spiral, loops, etc. (see the screen shot in an earlier post), and then it renders a high res (or low res, for less battery drain & quicker playback on 1st gen - yes, I've compared between devices!) rollercoaster! (Oh, and the devs have said that they're probably not going to make a track editor for this, but they are increasing the details for the next version. Don't know what else they might have planned.)

I'd say it's for fans of Koi Pond, Spawn Illuminati, and other "eye candy" apps, but it's a lot of fun. You can play your own music to it, and I've found it to be absolutely the best visualizer app out there!!

[A word of warning: I've made a person next to me on the subway uncomfortable, and neither my wife - who doesn't like rollercoasters - nor my pregnant relative like this app! :p]

Pretty good! As I said, it's a simulator, not a game. It's best when you feel like some eyecandy, or a quick brainless fix. That said, it is a very compelling simulation, so it does brig me back (but keep in mind that it's only a day old).

I decided to make this my impulse buy for the night, and it's actually pretty neat. Kind of reminds me of the old Rollercoaster arcade game that used to have at the World Of Tomorrow in Disney World (or Land, whichever one is in Florida). All it's missing is an annoying beaver that whistles through it's teeth when talking to you. I'm not sure what all they have planned for the update, but even though the tracks look nice and shiny, some rickety old wooden creaking noises would be really cool.

    Fun stuff

I impulse bought this tonight and I love it! I really enjoy just putting my headphones on and zoning out on the screen. It even gives me that nervous feeling in my stomach like i'm on the ride, lol. I can't wait for updates. I would like to see more backgrounds added and whatever else they could throw into the mix. :) It's a good buy for 99 cents.

For those who have it, does it have realistic physics? In the video it seems like the speed varies very little based on whether the train is going up a hill or around a loop. That usually adds a lot to coaster sims.

Now if only you could play iPhone games with these, then this sim would be 1000x better! :)

Play it while on the subway / underground for that added bonus!

Those are awesome looking. Might get me a pair just because they look cool... then again, looking at the prices, that's an awful lot of iPhone games :)

Yup. It's kind of like the view mode in Rollar Coaster Tycoon 3.
