Finally got all medals on level 8 insane! Now all I'm missing is the rescue all people on level 5 insane and that last card. (I'm sure that if I get the temporary max fire rate card level 5 will be quite easy with the medic ship.) To add to the powerups discussion, I don't really have a favorite. I think each one is valuable for the situation you're in. Example, in level 8, there are the diagonal lasers cementing the play area. The bomb is really effective as it can destroy those towers plus the additional turrets, and allow you to move freely for a second as it fizzles all shots. However when facing the final stage of the final boss, the laser is highly effective in destroying the side cannons, all you then have to contend with is those spiral shots which are relatively simple. So each situation calls for different powerups.
I was wondering how you were getting ~2400 stars and I thought that I was missing out, and then I realized you have the doubler. I just did a couple of runs just now, at or near 100% stars collected (no doubler) 3 insane: 1389 4 insane: 1318 6 insane : 1822 7 hard : 1040 7 insane: 1260 8 insane : 2140 I completed these levels without buying powerups, although after level 6, I still die a bunch of times. Before my ship stats got pretty high, I pretty much farmed for stars on 3 Insane. I feel that after Level 3, the difficulty ramps up a lot. After my ship neared completion for stats, now I farm on 6 insane - it's easier than 7 or 8, and gives a lot of stars too. And I'm nowhere near being a good player - for reference, on SkyForce Anniversary, I haven't finished Level 7 nightmare, Level 8 Insane, and Level 9 Insane. I think that the laser is good for bosses and getting 100% kill, shield for 100% health and ramming, and I kind of held off the bomb until near the end. I assumed that the powerups that pops up during game play will give me the first 2 (which I want for that level) than diluting the percentage and giving me the bomb as well. I think the main cannon is the most important stat to max out first. Cheers
Actually, in my experience, the Bomb is the most reliable to take out enemies that slip out of your bullet path, which is how i would 100% the enemies 90% of the time.
Upgrade tip & questions for dev Found a glitch that gives you infinite ships (lives) and heavily discounted upgrades Start up the game Connect to Facebook Purchase an upgrade. Be sure to get one with at least a few minutes to have enough time to complete the remaining steps. Exit the game and kill the process (double press home, remove game for iPhone) Turn off all data connections. Easiest way is to enable airplane mode. Start up the game again. From here, each time you tap collect stars when you die or finish a stage the game will crash, with some benefits: Your ship count will not be decremented. You can repeatedly gain equipment levels by finishing the upgrade instantly. Each time you do this when you start up the game again the level will be increased by 1 with the time still counting down. You can repeat this as many times as you like as long as there's time remaining. I had everything maxed having only earned ~25000 stars and maxed out bombs in one go. Some questions for the devs: Level 7 seems to have a bug where people get substantially higher scores - top 24 scores > 94mil, 25th 3.8mil which is not too far from mine. Are minor score differences simply due to luck? ie. boxes giving +500 points instead of stars or hearts? I'm missing mastery achievements for stages 4 & 6 but have all the objectives. May have completed some of them while offline is the only reason I could think of. Playing through meeting all objectives did not do it either. Any way around this besides wait for fix? PS: Great game devs! Really enjoying it, looking forward to more content. A help item on supercharge would be helpful. I just discovered today from reading the forums.
Probably publicly posting exploits that allow people to circumvent IAP in a free game isn't the best way to lead into questions for the developer you are preventing from making profit from their hard work.
That's a very pessimistic way of interpreting my post. I posted it here as the devs are likely following this thread. It doesn't circumvent any IAP as stars can be earned in the game and whether or not it affects their revenue is speculative. To state that as fact is naive at best. That said, if the devs would like the description of the glitch removed feel free to PM me.
I believe it's part of forum rules not to post exploits and such (but not too sure), but something like this can be PM'd to the devs themselves.
Thanks for the tip but I just checked - nothing regarding exploits. If there is evidence that this is negatively affecting the devs or they requested it themselves I'm happy to oblige.
@Zyx: Thanks for bringing it to our attention. We've confirmed the app crashing, but not the upgrades installing upon it. Has any one else been able to replicate this behaviour? The updated version has the crashing bug fixed already, anyway. As for your questions: stage 7 is not bugged. It's humans who are bugged (cheaters : ) We've clamped the score on that level, so it should filter out most of them. You observations regarding score are correct - it's the luck factor in the crates. Some achievements were bugged in the initial release - update should fix that. Best regards, Peter, Infinite Dreams.
What's this Supercharge people are talking about?? Also, some people are mentioning a level 9.. As far as I can see, there's currently only 8 levels in the game, or does the game unlock a new level if you fulfill some achievement?
Supercharge is an ability you will get with a certain card you obviously still have to find. No Level 9 to be seen anywhere on my side ...
Stage 09 is coming on Thursday, as announced a few days ago. I took the liberty of linking faceleg's spreadsheet in the first post. I hope that's ok. Best regards, Peter, Infinite Dreams.
Ok, three questions. (Sorry, I came a bit late to the party and really don't want to read sixty something forum pages ... ) Since I haven't seen any plane parts for a while, I guess everybody else is missing two planes too? There seems to be a list with gc-id's somewhere in the middle of this thread. A specific page anybody? Someone mentioned he (or she) found the last card in level 7 hard mode!? Well, that really would be fun. The only place I ever saw the last card was in level 8 insane. And you can bet da big boss will kill me every time that happens. Any other encouraging experiences?
1) It's ok, not released yet. 2) There is faceleg's spreadsheet (in the first post, too), but it's a partial list.
Finally. After a gruesome week of grinding Stage 5 in Insane. Ready for Stage 9. Bring it on! Somewhat disappointed health gets upgraded first in the first update (found it useless since we're aiming for no-hit runs anyways) and only Missiles gets upgraded offense wise. It should be key to bursting down turrets faster in stage 5 though, so that could be huge.
That's kinda cool. Didn't know there's something like that. Just added everybody on the list. See ya when flying over your wrecks ...
