I raised my rating of the game from 3 to 4. The reason is that although I dislike the freemium shenanigans, I still really liked what I played. I beat earlier the final boss on level 8 and that was good fun too.
Thanks for the explanations, Peter! Yeah I was convinced gifts are automatic, but that sheds a lot more light on how they are triggered. Pluto must have just been really busy kicking butt last night! I can live with upgrade timers I guess but the ship timer to actually play is still BS when you've purchased the IAP. Game play timers are the worst of the worst. It doesn't kick in often for me but is annoying when it does (like when experimenting with new planes).
Wait, if you buy that IAP that timer is virtually turned off: I have 20 planes and I never went down under 19, only when I died after 25-30 secs. Or am I wrong?
Has anyone got all the planes ? I currently have 7 since yesterday but haven't got any piece so far for the two ones I miss.
Yeah you're right, it doesn't dip much but I still find it unnecessary and annoying after buying the IAP (which I do acknowledge is honest in its wording, except for the confusion I mentioned-thinking it would speed up upgrades when I bought it).
Since the ship repair iap I've been able to play nonstop, seemingly never losing ships, rendering the timer needless.
Practically my experience as well except when, as I mentioned, experimenting with planes like the low HP ones on harder levels. I just don't see the point of the timer at all after buying the related IAP. I will now proceed to let it go. #
So right after i bought the IAP, I get a card to increase plane production. Lol. Edit : Got a new ship that supposedly increases card drop rate? Anyone have this and see a difference from regular drop rates? I get a card generally ever 7-10 runs it seems with or without this ship. Of course, getting the card is certainly not keeping the card since I usually die.
Peter, I'm sorry but I respectfully disagree. As I'm typing this it's going to take over 2 hours for my upgrades to install. This is after spending $12 on this game. I don't think the system works well at all. Not one bit. Billy
I honestly don't know what the problem is. It takes a maximum of 5 minutes of playing to amass the stars needed to bypass 2 hour timers. If you just HAVE to upgrade a certain item, why not play the game? The grind is already there.
The timer for the lives is stupid and should be completely removed after you purchase the IAP. Which makes me think, what if they were planning much harder future levels and we'll begin to feel the wait times then. That can be the only logical explanation to keep it and not make it unlimited lives. The timers may become brutal with future levels, even with the IAP.
I've got 7 planes, I only miss the ones in the upper right and lower right; haven't got a single part so far.
