Game has two free levels, then a payment is required to access the rest. Prices for upgrades are reduced and all timers are gone. For the Steam version the game will most likely be paid upfront. - All stages have been adjusted to fit the wide screen. Backgrounds have been extended and enemy waves adjusted. - Controls have switched to gamepads with additional mouse support for PC version. - Local cooperative mode is available. It's actually a blast to play Sky Force with a friend! - UI has been redesigned to fit the controller but we already have a new one, even better, on its way. - Some fancy color filters were added - The PC version will come along with Mac/Linux support. - Title will change to "Sky Force Anniversary" since we won't make it before the end of the year. I dealt with them by clearing the first three that appear with a laser, then wait for all the rest of them to appear, and then fly to the bottom left of the screen and take them all out with another laser. You can't deal with all of them at once with a laser, because the first ones disappear from the screen before the last ones appear, so you're forced to spend two lasers. Has anyone actually been able to finish Stage 8 Nightmare entirely?! It's absolutely mind-boggingly difficult. Did the iDreams devs finish the level on Nightmare before releasing it? I can get the 70% done with a bit of luck, as well as save all the humans - but 100% and Untouched - impossible?!
So, I broke down and started playing again after the "more card drops" update... No cards yet, but I did just notice something odd. Forgive me if this has been discussed, but I'm noticing most of the stuff I've unlocked and upgraded not showing up during runs, as well as three overlays at the beginning of a level with "100" and what looks like star symbols on them... Am I paying to equip things I've purchased and upgraded at the beginning of each run? DBC
Three things at the beginning of a level to buy... sounds like the laser, bomb, and shield items. But that's normal. Everything else should be equipped, always... and those three items randomly show up during stages. Also, I see no update, so I can't check this now. (I guess you're on Android instead of iOS?)
Yes we can (see screenshot) Well , nightmare is a little unforgiving i fear (had to make + 80 fully loaded runs to take this medal) , but i'll record a dry run on the 9 with 100% ennemies destroyed , the course is very similar to nightmare except it needs way less bonus weapons Cheers & keep up the good work on this awesome game
High score I grinded whole day long, collected around 20k stars but my highschore is still the same as previous day. it is not adding up... It was around 11 million then and still the same now. Any idea why its stuck there?
Curious the amount of stars that people are holding on to now. I've got 800k now. I realize I will need about 10 million to finish level 9.
I've got all the cards from Stage 6, which I grinded for coins constantly and is definitely my favorite.
What has the stars to do with the score? Stars are used for upgrades and purchasing boosts in the beginning of each stage, but the scores are determined by the medals you'll get. The more medals you get for each stage the higher multiplier you get to increase your final score.
Here is a screencap. My score is highlighted. Its stuck here no matter how many times I play, my stars are getting added up but score is increasing from this value:11 131 476
well, I understand. But did you get any new medal lately? There are 16 medals for each stage, the more medals you get, the higher is your score. If you finish the stage with 100.000 points and have e.g. 8 medals, your score is multiplied by 8.. but if you'll get another medal and you finish the stage with the same amount of points, in the end it's multiplied by 9. That's the only way to increase the score significantly.
Thanks for your reply, macplash. Medals are no problem, I have unlocked nightmare difficulty and finished stage 8. Stage 9 is open to play but I have not played it yet. I am upgrading my weapons for a smooth run
I'll let you know when I make it to Stage 6... I've currently found 3 cards throughout months of play and hundreds of runs through Stage 4 (Insane on Stages 1-3, Normal on 4), so it might be nice to see the fabled card-dropping Holy Land that is Stage 6 eventually... Still trying to save enough stars to equip the weapons I bought (*sarcasm*)so I can perhaps survive Stage 5 (*not sarcasm*). I'm certainly not a quitter. DBC
Wow. This game. Just figured out the fact that I can survive Stage 5 despite losing access to all my weapons. My personal discomfort with some of the monetization aspects aside, this is without a doubt one of the best built, creative, prettiest games I've played on my phone to date... That said, anyone want to PM me an explanation of what is happening (or more specifically, what I'm supposed to be doing) in Bonus Stage 1? I am now suspecting that there is actually something quite creative going on that I would likely appeciate if I could figure it out... DBC
Friends Somehow I can no longer see my friends on high score lists. There used to be more than 10 people on my list but there are only 5 left now. I am playing on Android and people who I know that are using Android are shown (Google Account and FB Account both) I recently one of my FB friend started playing sky force, he's on iOS and does not show up in my friends list at high score. PS: I am also not listed on his iOS device sky force game either. Any suggestions?
