Awesome! I just got my SteelSeries Stratus for my iPad yesterday, and this is one of the games I was hoping would be receiving MFI controller support.
There's a world high score board. You don't need 5 friends to try to compete with the world. That means the friend requirement is unnecessary.
Regarding the score boards: there is a country score board for the tournament, it would be nice to have one for overall and stages also (and of course a friends score board for the stages).
I hope you will consider adding gamepad support to Android too I don´t follow your logic for the 5 friends requirement. Seems an unnecessary annoyance to the players, and something that ultimately would also hurt the developer, by turning people away from the game, meaning less $$ for you at the end let´s imagine that after downloading LOL or starcraft 2, you could only play in multiplayer after adding 5 friends already owning the game.. seems counter intuitive... and Skyforce in not even a multiplayer game
Either the VIP rescue thing is seriously bugged or I still do not understand it: I have by now gotten ~10 messages at the lock screen "attention all pilots...." but out of the 10 times only 2 times I see the "VIP" text next to a stage, 8 out of 10 times there was no sign of a VIP anywhere. It's very annoying if you have to wait for a full day or so and then apparently it doesn't work most of the time
I find that if you play when you get the notification or shortly after you always see the VIP icon, whereas if you leave it a few hours or if your iDevice reboots, when you open the game the icon isn't there. Without fail, after about a day and a half of not playing I get the notification. So far, I only get them for the first 4 stages though, sadly.
Adansantos is actually correct. At times, when the VIP does not appear or missing, I'd do the same as he does. Also I noticed that when the notification is shown, you have to immediately click on it, so as not to miss it in the game. For the VIP to appear: It actually is 24 hrs and a second is what you have to sacrifice to see another VIP. That's without launching the game of any sort. I went on hiatus for 2 weeks to achieve this (by trial and error) and I have verified this one and tested it. I assure you, it works. With it, I have completed the final medal and added a couple to my scores as well. VERY IMPORTANT: Again, NO PLAYING or LOGGING IN the game for the next 24 hrs and 1 second until you receive a NOTIFICATION that A pilot is missing in the field, and then you're good to go. Hope this helps.
Nightmare mode Hey all, new to the forum and this may have been asked on this thread already but a quick search turned up nothing recent. Does anyone know anything about nightmare mode? My brother-in-law has it on his android version of Sky Force, but I don't have it on mine. What gives?
It was initially released on the android version as test run (I believe) and will be released in the ios soon. Please be patient, as we all are excited to try this out, too. Good day and God speed, matey!
I'm starting to think I have the worst luck on Earth... lol I was kind of hoping my level wasn't high enough to see any cards, but I've replayed levels 1-4 on 2 difficulty levels, and, well, yeah, it would be AWESOME to see A card. *Sigh* DBC
Please note that I edited @Peter ID just to make it more readable, and get rid of extraneous answers. I did not change any of the quoted text however. @Drummerboycroy - the above quotes are why you are having such a hard time getting any cards at all. For some reason @PeterID thought that drops were happening on a frequent basis, when in reality, they were not. There were several very hard core people that in the space of about a day collected all / most of the cards, and posted them - and so that translated to being able to collect the cards on a very short time. Meanwhile, the dedicated, but not so hard core were picking up a card every now and again. I think I averaged a card every hour or 2 of play time - but apparently that is too often. I noted in another post that it would take 60 - 80 hours of play time to get all the cards at the "old drop rate" that the devs thought was too much, but apparently that is too frequent for them. So, the common strategy seems to be to pick a level where there are some boxes fairly early on - and if those box(es) don't have a card, die immediately and restart the level until you get a card, then finish the level. Boring as heck, but it will yield some results. Personally, I would rather be able to play through levels and have a card drop rate at something reasonable so it makes farming for cards fun, but the devs seem determined to make getting them unreasonably (IMO) difficult. Full disclosure, although I occasionally am reading this thread, I have essentially stopped playing the game due to the unreasonable (IMO) card drop rates - so perhaps my statements are just sour grapes to be taken with a grain of salt. Good luck with your experience, but it looks like you are where I was (am) in your collection ability.
I just cleared a stage with no one in it and it appeared. Last achievement done. Okay. It finally went through. That was annoying. Well, that's another goal down... Now... random cards. #
