You're not supposed to be able to complete stages in Nightmare difficulty without using power ups, I believe. We have to have something to spend the stars on once we've maxed up our ship. I'll try to farm for cards on stage 6. Thx for the tip. #

It's definitively a hard one, I agree with you. I'm not sure whether I enjoy it or not, but I was able to do 71000.
Hey Intendro, I unlocked that achievement today. It didn't happen right after I rescued friends though. I was in the menu and it just popped out of nowhere. So if it's any consolation, at least you know it's possible :/
I'm still trying to find out how to rescue friends. I found a few VIPs by now but have not seen a single friend and i got all but level 7 and 8 fully completed, and maxed ship.
Posting here since I noticed developers are reading, even though I play on android.. First, thanks for this amazing game, I was playing it on Windows Mobile a long time ago, and I was regularly looking around for it every year (even found some weird looking clones in Chinese I did not trust to install). Well, this game passed the R-type 2 port as my favorite game if the year, and playing with the stylus on the Note 2 is very close to the original experience I´m maxed out my ship and I agree with previous posters that increasing the card drop would give more incentive to continue to play past this point. personally I know I would continue to play regularly, although not as much as when completing the upgrades. My principal grief is the 5 players requirements for entering the tournament. I don´t know about the situation on iOS, but on Google Play Games it seems to me very hard to complete; I do have a Google+ account since I´m using other Google Services, but I´m not using it. Only 2 of my friends are using it regularly, none of them playing skyforce. Almost nobody use it here, despite android having 70%+ marketshare I even tried to add skyforce on the Android phone of my wife and played it a couple of minutes, but she doesn´t appear in the list, even though I added her on Play Games. I guess I would have to unlock the tournament on her phone, seems a lot of works.. Would connecting the game to my facebook account resolve that? Is there a way to connect with iphone/ipad players? I would be uncomfortable to add strangers just to unlock the tournament.. Is it the only way? Peter, are you aware of any forum/place where people can share their Android play game ID, like everybody is doing here for iOs?
Basically, you rescue a friend (from GameCenter) when you fly over the area where they have died. If none of your friends have lost a live, you won't see any ;-)
It's been at 60% since before I rescued friends in the tournament before the previous one... and since I was playing the tournament, I had to be online long enough for it to update the achievement. It's stuck. And it's the last achievement I need for this game, so I want to get them all here.
It was my last achievement too. I'm sorry it's not working for you. Mine was stuck for quite a while too. You know how some Game Center achievements have a pie shape indicating partial progress? Well, that one was stuck at about 60% for a long time. I just kept rescuing over and over and it finally unlocked. I know that probably doesn't help, and I know how frustrating it is to fulfill the requirements and not have it work right. It seems like Game Center is well overdue for an update, but it never happens. Honestly I don't know if the problem is with the game or with Game Center. Just keep at the high score chasing and hopefully it will come with time...
Hi I am lemarsghast and I am new to this website. It seems very friendly and good so far. I have played Sky force since the original came out. I am currently maxed out on upgrades, and am only missing 5 golden cards in the complete 46 card collection. The card rates seem to drop ever since I got the last upgrade and the last card. I really want the night camouflage skin for my plane because it looks sick. Will there be an update for more cards, higher drop rate, and new planes like the ones from the original? I cannot wait! Thanks for such a great game!

Game Impressions Connected both the Google+/Play game account and my facebook account (250+ friends). Still stuck at 0 friends in the game Really disappointed with the devs on this point.. having to jump through hoops to get full access to the game after I paid for it. Would be great if the remove-Ads IAP also unlocked the turnament... Or else add another IAP for it; I would gladly go for it
