I agree with that, and it's even worse when you have the health regeneration card. Without the card it's easier to tell: if you don't have the card and pick up a health kit if you have been hit before the game will say "Health restored", while if you are at 100% already it won't say it. Now if you do have regeneration and you get hit only slightly you probably won't even notice it because you'll have 100% already when you pick up the next health kit. That's why I pretty much every time lift my finger immediately after I might have been hit to check if I'm still at 100%, which is pretty annoying. So in conclusion I'd really appreciate some sign telling you if you have been hit, either with every hit (maybe the announcer can say something?) or when in slow mo mode giving some indication of previous hits. For the 100% enemy achievement usually it's good enough if you never hear the "Chain lost", however I have had some occasions where chain was never lost and I still ended up with 99% enemies, which I am not sure about how it can happen (not destroying a tank completely?). For the stars... well... that's the most annoying one when you end up with 99% stars and don't have a clue where you missed one... for that a "star lost" announcement would also be nice.
I am not able to connect to game center and want to compare top scores. My top cumulative combined top score through levels 1-8 is 18,147,400. How does it compare to everyone else?
Check thread, stage 1 through 7 perfect and stage 8 100% humans, 100% enemies and 99% stars in total give you around 28.7m points without friends/VIPs extra points. adansantos managed to do close to 30m including friends/VIPs points. You have individual stage points posted several times by kakkaduan, me and others.
I'm thinking I may start a separate thread just for posting high scores for SF 2014. Any thoughts? Edit: Created a high score thread in the general game discussion and questions forum. Get posting those scores!
New version out! On android, the new version 1.23 has just been released. A couple of points: - s-pen support is broken, it's currently not working. Very annoying. - the new difficulty level is really insane and, in my opinion, is a bad move because it makes the game too frustrating: even the level 1 100% kills is impossible to achieve without powerups. For me, the game has passed the line where it's no more enjoyable: I know that my ability is not enough to finish level 1 nightmare at 100%, so I will soon stop playing it.
Hey, klipp, the S-Pen is broken due to errors in MOGA SDK. We've fixed them and plan on uploading new version later today. @Dr69onS6mur6i: We've actually discussed that during the development. A lot of levels in insane mode are already impossible to complete with 100% kills without powerups, in my experience, so that's not really new (and not a bad thing IMO). I had already completed all levels on insane mode (although not with maxium scores) except for level 8, so for me it was getting frustrating to only play level 8. In other words, I welcome the update! @PeterID: is there nothing that can be done about all the cheaters on Android with hundreds of millions or even billions of points? They really ought to be thrown out of the rankings!
@PeterID - I hope I'm not getting overly excited for nothing, but is there an iOS update planned with these new difficulties? If so, when do you expect it to be out? Thank you for your time and patience by the way!
A new update with a new difficulty for the levels ? Can't wait for it ! Looks like it's the "Nightmare" difficulty. If it needs many powerups, then all the stars I have accumulated will finally be useful. EDIT : yeah, I just got the last card I didn't have !! night camouflage is AWESOME !!!!!
@PeterID I know there are a ton of things you guys are working on, and I don't know if this will be too much work for what it's worth but is there any way to make the missiles smarter? It's quite annoying when you have 20 enemies, 40 bullets, and about 100 stars on screen and a missile flies off to hit a lighthouse or a crate. Is there a way to maybe specify enemy targets first then optional targets? Or have I just not upgraded them enough?
New version out! New version 1.24 out for Android. Now S-Pen works again, thanks. Just finished level 1 Nightmare at 100%. I had to buy laser and bomb at max capacity (ship is fully upgraded and all cards collected). My wishes: - add other ships with different upgrade weapons (so I can spend my unused stars) - add upgrade or card to speed up the rescue of humans - add upgrade or card to automatically use a collected power up when already at max capacity - add companion ships as upgrade - more upgrades ?
Is there a max level to upgrade to then? I've only just got back into playing this since i saw the upgrade, i still don't know if the cards are totally random, I've got 3 of them... I think my main cannons are on the third level now and wing are on second... It's a right grind to get enough stars, I bought star doubler really early on. Edit, this is where my upgrades are at right now. Been grinding on level 3.
The black airplane is the Night Camouflage card #24. I got it after collecting all the other 23 cards (some of them, multiple times).
You can upgrade your health and wing cannons to level 4. Everything else to level 3. The star doubler is definitely going to make your life a lot easier. As for cards - They are random and appear from crates, and IMO are very rare. I got about half of them before the last update (they were almost too easy to get then) and now have all of them, except for a few of the duplicates that stack. Having trouble with Stay Untouched medal I've played level 2 of Stage 8 at least three times now where I have never fallen below 100% health but I still am not getting the Stay Untouched medal. Any suggestions? Does getting hit while you have a shield up invalidate that medal?
