Played the stage over and over, looking left and right (died a few), still no VIP, i'm a bit jealous now lol. Hey Peter, i managed to shoot them all on stage 5 (normal) but unfortunately no achievement for this. Should be worth at least a VIP. Still enjoying the game a lot.
Ahh ok, I misunderstood what someone said. Then how do you "rescue" one of your friends? Exact Psience keeps rescuing me, giving me an extra life. Btw, this is probably the prettiest shmup on iOS, and definitely the best mission based one I've played on the platform.
Hi! There seems to be something wrong with the VIPs. I've spoke to my co-workers and it looks like it may be broken at this moment. Unfortunatelly our office is closed until Monday so I can neither confirm with certainty that it's broken, nor force anyone to see if we can fix it on our end. Rest assured, we'll make the VIPs fun and working in the final release! @Qwertz555: The achievements are yet to be implemented. And yes, there was one planned for what you've done Congratulations, it's a pretty big deal! Have you unlocked other difficulties for Stage 5 already? @JCho133: Rescuing friends works, more less, like this: your friend's wreck lies on the farthest place he (or she) reached. If your friend died on Stage 5 and hasn't progressed since then - that's where you'll find the wreck. You collect them in the same manner as the orange humans - just hover around until the progress bar fills up. As you've already noticed - the player being rescued gets the plane back, while the rescuer gets a decent amount of stars. I'm glad you like the game so much. We like making our games pretty @funem: It does, doesn't it? There is still a couple of sound effects we'd love to populate some more in the lower registers, but we need to keep in mind that most players will only use their device's speakers, so we can't really go all the way down with it. Too bad! Best regards, Peter, Infinite Dreams.
The game sounds are fine as they are when playing normally, its just so much better with headphones on, music, voice and explosions work really well. I may try connecting it to my big speakers next to shake the room when stuff blows up. I just love this game.
Yeah... gotta agree... the sound FX in this one are GREAT. Especially when you can hear the lower end. =oD
sound fx, graphics detail, water render effect, explosion, animation, trees animation, etc in this game are just amazing. you can even see the trees are moving due to the explosion impact from tanks. the detail animation of a plane that fall into the sea are simply amazing as you can see the water splash slowly fill up into the planes body right before it drown. smoke trails that coming from missiles is so natural. not to mention all the smokes and particles debris that coming from an exploded mother ship.
Agree with all three posts above me...amazing when you shoot an Armada of planes down, BOOM ! (Headphones 100% needed, imho) With a few little exeptions, i put all my available gaming time into this one. Soon will be upgraded to the fullest, yet still hard as nails to finish an insane mode without some powerups (can't do the 100% shot downs on stage 3+4) Really hope that the next few stages will reveal soon. Edit: Peter, only unlocked hard on five.
Some time ago the "Insane" difficulty wasn't all that insane. During our weekend contests almost everyone taking part would complete all the levels on all the difficulties. It was boring. Only differences in the score were based on whether you've managed to get a perfect play and score a few thousands more points fro the bonuses. And between all the ones who could, the differences were based on how many crates on the level contained stars. Then the Insane has become what it is today. At first we thought it was too much, but then we remembered how we've made the "endless" stage for Jelly Defense. We've reached 80 waves ourselves, so we added twenty more waves with monster's healt boosted by a factor of 10. Needless to say that players were actually able to beat that stage. That's one of the reasons the Insane stayed that way. Other is that now it's really challenging and all these preparations (saving for power-ups) for that one game make it a really important event. Best regards, Peter, Infinite Dreams.
Great game and lots of fun... unfortunately, iClould doesn't work. I played on my iPhone first, cleared 2 stages, then went to iPad, had to do the tutorial again, and no progress from iPhone appeared. Closed it from multitasking bar and re opened still to no avail.
Love this game. I like shooters and have played all the top titles but there's very few that have that special something that keeps me playing. This one has it. Great job devs!
Correction... it now works, though SIX hours later. The only con I see so far is ads... and no way of getting rid of them
Well, I enjoyed the game... until Level 5. Have been stuck there, such is the insane difficulty. This has really spoilt the game
It's the easiest level IMHO. You do realize that there is no shooting evolved on this level, right? You get hit with EMP thingy and then just collect stars and pilots.
Well, I was trying not to get hit with the EMP, which was really difficult. If you are not able to shoot for most of the level, then you won't earn the achievements, right?
So finally got past level 5 (which I kept failing because I was trying not to get hit by the EMP (thanks for the tip PraetorianX!)), and got to Stage 7 which I cannot play until 6341 more players reach the stage.... WTF!??
Nope. You may have missed it, but the objectives for this particular stage clearly state that you're required to collect the stars instead of destroying enemies. It is possible, and achievable if you look at the previous pages of this thread, but totally optional. The text at the start of the stage serves more as an explanation of what happens after you do get hit by the EMP. As for the Stage 7 - it's so hard, compared to Stage 5, you wouldn't stand a chance alone Seriously though, it's a social feature to try and make the initial players pro-active in helping us spread the word about the game.
