I see. I am not a native English speaker, and some of the lingo is unknown to me. So in this case it means someone has just flown past you or saved you?
I am the same. I can't think of a single game I'd rather play on the iPhone. I don't find the iPad Air heavy, and am comfortable holding it with one or two hands for long periods. I also sometimes just rest it on my belly when I'm laying down.
Level 1 Bonus Hi Everyone Started playing Skyforce a few weeks back on Android..... (Great Game ...Thank You Devs) Stumbled through a whole bunch of questions about how to play the game, without asking anyone but myself..... Recently did a search on the internet and found some answers and stumbled on this forum.... Most of them have been answered in this thread, again Thank You all. Read the WHOLE thread, before registering and posting.... Lots of excellent information which I hope to make use of .... macaaroni beat me to asking the question I am looking for an answer to.... I do apologize if this question shouldn't be asked at this forum.. and if that is the case which would the best forum to pose the question? I am just looking for hints on how to tackle the level one bonus macaaroni is asking about.
Welcome to TA - I don't have Android so I can't answer the question, but this is a good place to ask it, unless the Android forum has a thread for this game, the it might be a better place. But, the devs check in pretty frequently so they will see it, or someone else with Android might know.
Close enough, but I think with some humorous sarcasm associated. Maybe that is too American. Too many cultures, each with very different ideas about humor.
Couple of questions (Sorry if asked already): 1. After a game, the high scores are shown and sometimes there's a star next to one of the names, which can be tapped. What causes these stars to appear? (Pluto - the stars are usually next to your name!) 2. If you collect a card, do you have to finish the level to keep it?
1. When that player plays the game, it generates a few stars for you. It seems to max at 100, but it resets if you collect them (i.e. If you dont play for 2 weeks, you wont come back to 2,000 stars from someone who plays a lot- it will stop at 100) 2. Yes
Thanks Thanks pluto Wouldn't happen to know where a good Android Forum would be located? Not a gamer and just installed the Sky Force to pass the time away when I am waiting for things to happen at work. lol
You could try Droidgamers. I used to visit there religiously when I was big on the Android scene. One of the Droidgamers editors, Himmat Singh, posts here on the TouchArcade forums and on the comments sections from time to time.
As the iOS update still doesn't seem to have been "approved" by Apple let's discuss scores. I can see the total scores but it would be interesting what score is possible on each of the levels. Here are mine with short comment: Level 1: 1,256,250 (all stars, all humans, all enemies, no damage) Level 2: 1,961,625 (all stars, all humans, all enemies, no damage) Level 3: 3,241,500 (all stars, all humans, all enemies, no damage) Level 4: 3,281,175 (all stars, all humans, all enemies, no damage) Level 5: 3,535,500 (with EMP hit me, I think from the run when collecting all stars at multiplier 15 and no damage, not sure if I was able to also collect all humans; I don't think I would be able to evade the EMP, kill all enemies, collect all humans, collect all stars, and take no damage at the same time...) Level 6: 3,096,600 (this was with everything except collecting all stars, stars were only at 96% and as the stars have a good impact on score I think this could be improved quite a bit more) Level 7: 3,772,575 (probably from the kill 100% run, not sure if I could do a 100%, rescue all, take no damage run... certainly I wouldn't be able to collect all stars at the same time...) Level 8: 1,979,740 (this is at multi 7 as more than finishing on hard with 80% enemies killed is beyond my capabilities it seems... the difficulty increase on stage 8 is just nuts, level 8 hard is much harder than all the other levels on insane combined...)
Here are my scores: 01: 1 280 250 02: 2 018 625 03: 3 214 500 04: 3 206 175 05: 3 560 250 06: 3 220 875 07: 4 021 350 08: 4 075 620 I've just unlocked "Insane" on Stage 8, it really deserves that name! @crapple2011: Is your magnet maxed out? Because then it picks up the stars almost by itself.
Yes it's maxed out but it's hard to see/pick up if some pop up fast at the other edge of the screen and the magnet won't pick it up then That's some great scores btw, I don't think levels 1-3 can be done much better. Still wonder a bit why your level 2 score is so much higher than mine as I got everything there but have 67,000 score less. Maybe it also depends on luck with boxes contain stars or not.
01: 1 248 000 02: 1 969 875 03: 3 242 250 04: 3 298 425 05: 3 748 500 06: 3 157 125 07: 3 946 800 08: 6 065 990 Sorry don't remember what medals I got from the scores :|
I see some good scores here, congratulations! The update for iOS should be available tomorrow. As for the bonus level already available on Android - it unlocks after collecting 8 medals. The goal is to destroy all the turrets before the time runs out. Best regards, Peter, Infinite Dreams.
My Scores: 1 1,256,250 (100% all) 2 1,973,625 (100% all) 3 3,248,250 (100% all) 4 3,276,675 (100% all) 5 4,003,500 (100% all) 6 3,141,825 (99% Stars ... 100% the rest) 7 3,826,050 (99% Stars ... 99% Enemies ... 100% Humans ) 8 4,462,850 (Don't remember) Also, I've received all the cards and completed all the medals on each level. What did you do to get a score of 6,065,990 on Level 8? Do you remember which medals you received at once? Enemies Destroyed, Stars, etc? My highest score is 4,462,850 and I've completed all the medals on all stages but can't comprehend how to raise my score by over 1.5 mil. When I got my highest score on 8 I believe I killed 99% of the enemies and received a 100% in another category.
