I have been doing the same thing Actually I place myself between the 2 lasers while the gun turns around, then I lift the finger off the display and wait in slowmo mode until he fires the gun, and then a moment before it hits me I power up the shield and fire a laser. At insane level this won't take him out but if laser and guns have been upgraded sufficiently (mine are maxed out) it gives you enough time to kill the gun before the shield is lost. Actually this is my favorite and easiest to kill boss. I'm completely screwed if I don't arrive there with at least 1 shield and 1 laser (the megabomb is pretty much useless, it's more of a defensive weapon, I mostly only use it on stage 7 at the end of the huge enemy wave when the huge number of small planes attacks, against the big ones before I also use the shield + laser, that completely destroys them even on insane level, while the megabomb barely takes their guns out...).
So about the cards - I am up to 29 planes - those Hangar +1 cards are reasonably common. OTOH I only have 2 gold cards. Mostly playing level 6 and 7. Oh well, gotta catch 'em all.
Thanks for the tip! Yeah I've not even tried that stage 5 times yet I think? I tend go off to play another stage or close the game after I get blasted to smithereens. I probably have to level up my laser and shield a lot more before that'll work though? Ah right, position yourself and go into slowmo eh? So this is how powerups are supposed to be used... up till now i've only been focused on dodging the bullets... (and to think that I actually don't like bullet hell games...)
Just found this forum, and there's lots of cool info I have discovered so thank you guys. Now I was wondering if someone could help me with a few question: - so I have been collecting the cards and I have noticed I have gotten duplicates but never more then 3 of one card. But I see some people on here claim they have 5 of some cards. So is this just weird coincidence in my part? Cuz I have about 12 cards with 3 of each and I've not gotten over 3 on any card. -can you get duplicates of gold cards? I only have 2 right now but I was wondering if I can't get the same gold one more then once.
I have 29 planes so I have got 9 of the Hanger + 1 cards. I think that most cards stack 3 times, but the gold cards are only single, not stackable.
I've only started playing recently. And haven't read this entire thread. But I'm really enjoying the game. When do these cards start appearing?
At any point as far as I'm aware, and I've definitely gotten 1 from the Easy mode on the first level. They can spawn from the incidental bonus items scattered through the levels, i.e. crates and barrels. You can also get multiple cards from multiple playthroughs of the same level, though only ever 1 card per run, and you're not always guaranteed to find one. That said, I've read that there is some balancing, so that some of the more powerful cards are only available in later, harder stages, so I don't think you can just get them all by doing level 1.1 ad infinitum...
I am at the same point now. Reached Stage 6 . For Stage 7 83% people are missing. Very strange. Will ever reach 100000 people stage 7. What, if not? ________________ daily deals, online shopping sites, hot deals, best deals
By accident my son reset my achievement so I have to start the game all over again. While it's fun since I can collect the cards better but I found a very annoying glitch. On level 6 it's impossible to achieve the 100% enemy destroyed. Every time I met the final boss the bar on top from wonderful status suddenly went to 0. Is this a glitch that will be addressed soon?
It's a bug. You need to complete stage 6 first. If stage 7 isn't unlocked then, go to the options screen. When you get back to the game there'll be a short pause, and stage 7 should unlock for you. If that doesn't work, force quit the game. It worked for me.
Are "Party Animal" and "The Command Is In your Debt" achievements really supposed to work in the current version 1.20 on iOS? They have been stuck at 1 out of 20 / 1 out of 5 since forever. Actually I don't even know what a VIP is but I have similarly to rescuing the humans picked up the green circles with the "broadcast tower" icon and the names of friends multiple times, in total certainly way more often than 20 times. I am have all medals for all normal to insane levels 1-7 and all medals for level 8 normal mode by the way, collected in total over 300.000 stars. Also I'd really like to know what this hidden 100 points achievement between "Badge of Military Merit" and "Handsomely Rewarded" is. I only miss this one, the 500.000 stars one and two "Rescue" ones mentioned above.

last update After my last update from the store i was able to update side canon to level 4. But i didn't got any new cards from than. I'm playing on lev. 6 and 7 insane mode. Its possible a bug because i see many people here complaining about the cards.
