Thanks for the tips. I watched video, and my plane does not that that fast. When I move my finger quickly there is definitely a slight lag. I tried some of the techniques, and I think you have to anticipate the lag, which is possible, but difficult.
Thank you very much for the advice bilboa, the video is awesome ! I will have to upgrade my ship more, and to get much better to be able do that . The behaviour of the EMP there is what I see now, but before the update it was like the previous video from vredhipster : youtube.com/watch?v=07a-z9OrLkI . It was doing slow large arcs, giving plenty of time to destroy things and prepare the next dodging. I am puzzled why only some players had the easier version - maybe it depends on the device in some way. If it was a bug (which seems likely), it was probably not obvious as it seems fixed now, and the developpers did not intentionally change it...
New tournament levels and now collectible cards...you know how to keep me coming back! Here are some early questions since the new update: Does anyone know how the cards work? It appears you can even collect multiples of the same card but I don't know where you find each one. One theory is that since there are 24, perhaps there are 3 specific to each Stage? Do they only appear from crates? Are there specific cards only obtainable during tournaments? What is the purpose of multiple cards? What is at the end of the rainbow? Inquiring minds want to know.
How do the cards work? Anyone knows? Does it stay on forever once you've collected it, or is it like a one use thing?
Hey, everyone! The 1.20 version is live, as you've already noticed. I will not go into much details about the cards, as it would spoil the fun of discovering and collecting them. I can only say they occur randomly, and rarely, from the boxes. Playing later levels on harder difficulties will more likely award you a card. Their effects are permanent, as I'm sure you'll notice. That's about all I'm allowed to say about the cards Now, for the EMP video... I was dead sure adansantos meant the video posted earlier in this thread, which is clearly captured from a hacked version of the game. I'm not sure why the EMP is so slow in vredhipster's earlier video. It may be as twist3r suggested - a secret bug that got fixed without us even knowing :] Let me just say that the speed EMP's travelling at now, is how it was intended and how we've tested it from the beginning. While for some players there might have been an increase in difficulty because of the EMP, I hope that it's been balanced by the stronger MainCannon we've also pushed with the previous update. @vredhipster: Sorry, Anders, if you were offended by my assumption. I hope you can understand it, given all the hack we've seen (like the one I pointed to, or those with infinite stars). By the way, the skills you're showing in your latest video from Stage 5 are... Superb! @Intendro: We have thought of that and made the VIP stars... point-less ;-) Best regards, Peter, Infinite Dreams.
Dear Peter Thank you for clarifying! The cards is a great addition to the game, just got a gold card ;-) But some of the cards has the same attributes, is that intended? I've attatched an image.
I'm guessing we have to add the attributes up, so your upgrade installation time is now -10% and your hangar capacity likewise.
Just a clarification, do we only get the cards if we complete that round? I noticed a card blinking at the top left of the screen during my game, but after I died I see nothing new. No where to see my card collection... Guess I'll need to keep playing
I was thinking the same, I think I picked up a card at some point, but didn't complete the level and I didn't get the card. It sort of makes sense, or at least gives us a bigger challenge.
Yo ! I'm new on this forum and happy to be here too. I've been playing Sky Force since its release and it's one of my favourites game. The latest update made really want to register here and talk with people about this awesome game. The cards are a great addition to the game. I was surprised to see we could have the same card over and over. Can't wait to get all the cards !
I am not sure about dying and keeping the card, but I can say that cards repeat. Or, at least I think they do. I played several different stages on 1 - 4 (grinding for stars) and got about 5 cards through multiple runs - however, I only got 1 "reward." After several more runs, I got a different card. So I think that certain cards may be tagged for certain levels (or at least general levels) and others are going to come up when I progress through the game. @Peter - I am not sure what upgrading the main cannon has to do with EMP, unless you are implying that we can either defeat the EMP, or blow up the sub. I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to avoid the EMP by using some of the techniques demonstrated in the video - but don't get to terribly far before I get hit, then just try avoidance to get through the level - not yet successful, but getting close I think... Having a lot of fun with the game as a whole, but level 5 is more frustrating than fun for me at least. I will consider it an achievement when I finish it, but I am not sure I am going to look forward to playing it like levels 1 -4 to get all the medals - it will be more of a sigh and resignation that I have to play it... Maybe with more practice I will come to enjoy it.
You definitely do NOT keep the card if you die during the level. I probably had a good one on 7 before the stupid boss tank with its stupid turret shot me in my stupid face. Does ANYONE have any idea what the purpose of multiple cards is?
I think that If you get more than one card with the same properties, they add up. So, if you get three cards with the text: "Upgrade Installation Time -5%", you'll get -15%. I haven't yet had repeats, but I'm sure I'll get some. The best I've received yet is this one:
I just confirmed that some of those effects are cumulative! While it's hard to notice a difference with the percentages, I found out that the effects of cards #1 and #2 (Hangar Capacity +1) were cumulative, because I own one copy of #1 and two copies of #2 and my hangar capacity went up from 10 to 13.
Enjoy!!! Adds some nice dimension. The discounts do NOT add up, at least the store discount doesn't. That was the first card I got, picked up a card 4 or 5 times through more runs, but never got another card, so I assume I got the same card multiple times.
