Just completed stage 8 on normal, only bonus I accomplished was 100% of enemies and my score was over 19million- which is my highest score to date. Higher than destroy all tower insane lvl 5 run and higher than insane lvl7 runs. Is that intentional? Other than what seems like an excessively high score- cool level, seems like it will be very challenging at increased difficulties. And btw, just for people having issues, I had to kill the app and restart it to get level 8 to unlock. edit: wow, stage 8 on hard is...... hard
@PeterID: Your support team did get back to me, and after following their diagnostic steps (i.e. rebooting, and disabling then re-enabling iCloud syncing), my health still remains at it lowest level. I've now been told that they don't know why my stats were lost, and that there's nothing they can do to get them back. Yay. So, a word of warning to anyone else who has invested a lot of time playing: Don't trust the iCloud syncing on this game. You may end up losing out.
iCloud has always sucked for keeping up to date data. I would much prefer if everyone did as Mika did with the new Battleheart and have upload and download from cloud as manual options.
Stage 8 is EPIC I really hope Infinity Dream got what they deserve.. I hope this game is selling very well Because I want them to continue supporting all Sky Force projects
I finally nailed all the objectives on level 7 and opened level 8. What a stage! This game beats every other game in it's genre, by a long mile. Lots of new enemies and bullet patterns on stage 8, and the action never let's up. This game is absolutely fantastic! Btw., the stage also showed 0% complete for me, but once I went into "options" screen and back out, the stage unlocked immediately, no problem at all.
I can play games no problem but talk of of resolution and stuff like that just confuses me. Help me out!

Finally got Stage 8 to unlock. I turned iCloud syncing off and then back on in the Options menu - was getting ready to delete and reinstall app but this worked.
