It would also be nice to have new ships with different abilities and/or weapons and possibly login bonuses. I'm thinking of maybe a really expensive to buy and upgrade weapon that destroys enemy bullets
@BillyRayPreachersSon: Hi Dan, our support has contacted you back. Any more information you'd like to provide should be with an email. If you can't find the message - please check your spam folder. As for the stars not synchronizing - it's intentional. We only store your stage/upgrade progress on iCloud. Storing the stars turned out to be prone to abuse. So instead of keeping all the data on our servers together with always-online requirement, we decided to not store the stars on iCloud. Buy something with them on your iPhone and the upgrade should sync to your iPad. @Drewskii: Thanks for your suggestion. Regarding that bullet destroying weapon - don't you think the game would become to easy? Best regards, Peter, Infinite Dreams.
I have a better idea - awards for place in the tournament. eg 1st place 10,000 stars, 2nd place 8000 stars etc
Level 4 weapons Any word on if the weapons will be able to be upgraded to level 4 as well? I am loving the game guys. I have beta tested for your other games in the past but missed this one. keep me in mind. Allan add me "azieser" in Game Center
@PeterID Think we could get a rundown of the difficulty tweaks to insane in this update? I'm guessing tower HP was reduced by at least 30%, but I'm not sure what else was changed.
It would be too easy if it was a constantly used item. However here are three suggestions to add new strategy (I think). Sorry for not being clear. 1. Make it a power up item like the laser, shield, mega bomb. 2. Give it a charger (the longer you don't use it the more you can use it in a pinch). OR 3. Make it so it can only be used "x" amount of times per level (that increase upon leveling) Thanks for reading my ideas. Congrats on the great game. Can't wait for level 8.
@woog315: The HP of the towers remained the same. We've pumped up the Main Cannon a little - around 15% increase in damage fo levels 2 and 3 plus a tiny increase in fire rate. What are everyone's impressions on that? Is the game too easy now? @Drewskii: Actually the Mega Bomb does basically that. It's a power-up, limited uses per stage, destroys enemy bullets and the trees sway nicely if you detonate over a forest As for the charging - I belive it should be consistent with what we already have in the game but still, it's something to consider in the future. As for unlocking more upgrades to level 4 in the future - it's possible, but depends on a difficulty curve we have yet to shape in any content to come. Best regards, Peter, Infinite Dreams.
@PeterID Hello, congratz on the game. it is very fun I would suggest though, to add some option to tune down some shaders, particles or bg elements and improve performance. I realize that it may be a big change but maybe you have the game developed in a way that it would not be too complicated to change the materials and properties of some objects ( missile particles, sea material ) on load time, depending on this flag. Otherwise, maybe there could be a low quality scenario background with less elements and cheaper water shader that would be loaded instead of the super cool one. The problem is that in my device, the framerate is quite low and some times, even the bullets don't collide with the enemies (since in one frame the bullet goes "through" it, never overlapping ) In this case, I have to use the "slomo" to watch the mullets do the damage. If the game is only bound by graphics, maybe you could try setting the bullet collisions to continous detection, or even scale the collision volumes (if you use Uity collision system) each frame depending on distanc etravelled. Another cool thing would be to buy a "Get rid of all f2P things" You'd pay a reasonable price (maybe 5, maybe 10) and would get a star multiplier of 4 (or whatever number lets you play and progress at a reasonable rate), get rid of adds and recharge time. This is an option I'd like to have in all cool f2p games. Just make me pay a fair price and let me enjoy the game as I like. Well, just some thoughts on this great game PS: I hope I don't sound too arogant or something, that's not the intention.
Insane mode felt about the same to me. Still "insane." More power is nice. Some things have a lot of health.
Seems fine to me. I had put the game aside for a while so I can't say I notice a definite difference, but Insane difficulty still feels plenty difficult to me on stage 4 or above. Definitely not too easy.
My iPhone says 99% that we need 175 more pilots to unlock stage 8. On my ipad it says 67% that we need 16201 pilots to unlock stage 8. I just want to play stage 8.
Has anyone been able to play Stage 8 yet? My phone says it's been unlocked but there's still a padlock symbol on the stage with a message saying to wait until next update.
@Dirty Harry Hannahan: The data from our server may take some time to sync. Last time I've encountered a situation like this, playing for a few minutes helped and the players number was downloaded corectly. Now, if you see a message saying you have to wait for the update - it's a lie! Go to options, back to stage select and voila! Stage 8 unlocked. I'm really sorry there's still a bug with this, really, really sorry :] Hopefully once you play Stage 8 everything will be forgiven ;-) @akanaf: How did you like the stage and the boss fight? @Eduard: Thanks for your post, Eduard. iPhone 4 is, unfortunatelly, a greatly underpowered device. We've tried a lot of things to make the game more enjoyable on that device but they were not enough. Sky Force 2014 is heavy on both GPU and CPU, so getting rid of the water would not get the job done. Switching to continous collisions would hit on the CPU even more. Sure, part of the CPU ower is consumed by the particle effects, but to overcome that we'd have to prepare a lot of separate assets. You seem to be familiar with Unity, so you probably know the script interface for ParticleSystem is rather limited. This is the reason why we can't do it globally. Besides, even when we've reached a state where the frame rate was acceptable - the game looked as horribly as most of the scrolling shooters available on Android, and that's not something we could agree to. Concluding this lenghty explanation - sorry, but it's unlikely that SkyForce 2014 will be fully enjoyable on the iPhone 4. As for the IAP you've mentioned - it's been debated heavily during the development and the beta stage. If you're interested in our reasoning behind the IAP decision we've made, here's a post about it: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?p=3241731 Best regards, Peter, Infinite Dreams.
@PeterID Everything is working fine now. Thanks. Are there any plans for future stages? Or is stage 8 it? Thanks again.
I'm loving stage 8, so much action and very nasty towers!! Polish devs are really producing, well done!!
