Noob question but is the game slowing down almost to stop supposed to happen when you take your hands off the screen?
Yes, it is normal, once you unlock them you can trigger Laser, Megabomb and Shield while in slow motion.
Yes, that's a feature. Not only does it allow you to take stock of what's going on in the heat of battle, but it's also how you trigger powerups. If you've picked up a laser, shield or bomb, the way you trigger it is to take your finger off the screen, and the game slows down and icons appear around your ship for the different powerups you have available. It's also a way to check your ship's health, and gives you a chance to hit the pause button without immediately getting killed.
Thank you guys. I'm old school I guess and would rather things happen in real time. Wish there was an option to disable that.
I'm an old school shump player too but I think that it fits very well touch controls and it is indeed a clean and smart way to implement it. If the powerup buttons were in the main screen then it would be a mess because almost for sure you will trigger them unintentionally. In addition they take advantage of that feature to allow you to plan your movements a bit if you want. I dont use it in that way because I prefer real time action too, but it is cool to have the chance to do it from time to time.
I think they were trying to make it possible to play the game with one hand, which is a nice feature for phone games. The way it works now, you can trigger your powerups with the same finger that you're using to control the ship. If the game didn't slow down when you lifted your finger off the ship to trigger a powerup, you'd likely get killed as soon as you went to use one. If it weren't trying to support one-handed play, it could let you trigger powerups with your other hand using buttons along the side of the screen.
Unlocked stage 7 on my iPad and it said that it was 89%. On my iPhone it says 77% "You are one of the 77615 pilots...We need 22385 more pilots to launch an attack on that area". When I went back to my ipad it said that you need 25 medals to unlock stage 7. What's going on here?
It's a bug that the developer is aware of. It'll be fixed in a patch. You won't need that amount of medals, the correct message is a percentage of people that have completed level 6. It's pretty close too, I expect level 7 to be unlocked within the next 24 hours.
