Same here, and it's choppy as hell. It's also obviously a hack, so there's no way anyone can use it as a tutorial. There's no powerups at all in the beginning of that stage, and in the video, he's got an unlimited supply. I'll never understand why people want to cheat like that. He's effectively removing all the fun and challenge from the game.
Level 7 is at 60% today. Only 40% left before we can play the stage. Let's hope the percentage will continue to increase exponentially.
Guys what's the name of the achievement for the Stage 5? I finished two times without getting hit by the EMP but no achievement for me!
Achievement for Level Five: Were you connected to the internet when you did it? Maybe that's the reason...
It clearly says for "destryoing all enemy towers", so he needs that as well, which of course means not getting hit by EMP as well.
I got this one already but thought there was a different achievement. I also got another achievement on Stage 5! They're no good in your pocket something!!

Same here. My ship definitely can't move as fast as in akanaf's video. In his video the ship moves around almost like in a Cave shooter, as fast as you can move your finger almost. On my device I can move my finger as fast as I want, but the ship will travel at a much slower speed. Also, the EMP seems to have a much larger turning radius in akanaf's video than I get, which seems to make it easier to get it off his trail by just getting it to follow him to one side of the screen and then quickly reversing direction. Third, the EMP often travels off-screen altogether which never happens to me, though that last might just be due to the video capture software cutting off part of the screen. What device are you playing on akanaf? I'm on an iPad 4.
I have iPhone 4S. Perhabs You have big display, and you cannot fast move the plane? I play on iPad mini and plane move slower, but I can better/easier avoid the bullets. Even if I don't record EMP flies off the screen. Just try avoid EMP eg. at the corner
I have a 4S too. That explains the EMP going off screen. I just tried it on my 4S and get the same behavior. I guess the game must have been developed for the iPad's aspect ratio, where the EMP stays on screen the whole time. My ship still doesn't seem to move as fast as in the video, but maybe that's just because when I'm actually playing it I'm aware of how much the ship is lagging behind my finger, whereas watching the video I can't see your fingers. By the way, props to you for doing that well with an iPhone. I can't play well at all on the phone. Everything's too small and my finger covers too large a percentage of the screen.
Really love how this game opened up a genre for me which I used to avoid. I guess I can thank the polish and more-than-fair IAP implementation for that, this is really one nice example how to make a f2p game feel and look premium. The overall design, may it be in-game or just the game menu, is tremendous, speaking from a designer's view.
@bilboa I turn off in program option "show touch" if You want I record new movie with this option enabled.
We're at 87% of players needed to unlock level 7! Only 13% left. I reckon it'll be unlocked tomorrow.
Really dumb question here guys. I want to spend a few bucks to buy some upgrades but I can't find the IAP for the life of me. Where do I go to buy stars?
AFAIK there is only a 5000 star IAP, but I think the star doubler is a far better investment, you will earn 5000 stars really fast. I have both star doubler and ship generator to avoid waiting to replay, with them grinding is greatly improved. You can see the shop icon in the hangar below the stars, but it will only activate after you spend some stars gained through gameplay (I think you have to spend 1000 stars before it gets enabled)
When does the lives timer stop getting longer? And how long is it then? It's gotten to 60 minutes for me. I'm at stage 5. (60 minutes per life, 10 lives total.)
Don't know. But if you buy the plane generator IAP the timer will no longer be an issue. I bought it as soon as I'd played the game enough to know I liked it, so I never saw what happens with the timer.
