I play mainly on my iPad, but I've tried a couple of games on my iPhone 4S. I've had no crashes or lag, although the loading screen takes a long time to finish. Admittedly, I've not played extended sessions. Have you tried force quitting all other apps and rebooted you iPhone? That's often enough to get a memory hungry games running properly.
I've been playing on my iPad 4, but I just tried it on my iPhone 4S and it ran fine. Have you tried rebooting your phone? I do find the 4S to be marginal now with a lot of new games, and often a game will lag and stutter until I reboot the phone, and then it will work fine.
As others said, try closing all apps, then restart your iphone. On my ipod touch 5, after a day or two I'll start getting the lagging problem too (even after I background close other apps). It runs fine again after a full reboot.
I've been switching playing this between my iPhone 5 and iPad mini retina. Stage 7 on my phone says 15% of players have unlocked it, while the iPad only says 9%. All the other syncing seems ok (except the amount of stars left in the bank, which is not syncing). Anyone else notice this? Another question, and I remember seeing it earlier in the thread but can't find it: What level are you guys finding is best for grinding for stars?
Stage 7 will not unlock yet. This is the same for everyone. Syncing doesn't seem to be a problem for me. As for grinding, I like level 5 because I can't be tempted to buy powerups. On insane, I get around 4,000 per run (if I make it to the end lol).
Fantastic game, beautiful level design. The game playes great I, find the ship regeneration well balanced, the ad remover IAP for me is worth it. The perfect mix of shooters and ship builder! Add me for the GC friends requirement Wildcut Thanks
PeterID, I sent the bug report email as you suggested, but got no reply and it's been awhile. Please check it out with the support guys, if possible
Started playing recently, very well made game, bought all the iaps except coin one and it feels and plays like a premium game. Feel free to add me: ksprs
Get the coin doubler, it will make your life more enjoyable. Even playing regularly, it still takes a while to earn enough for upgrades. Well worth the money to pay for your grind. Plus...at the insane levels, buying power ups are necessary to achieve goals.
I ment coin pack, got the doubler how necessary/good are laser and shield? I was wondering should I upgrade my missile/cannon's before going for those or should I save for all the manual skills before upgrading any auto weapons?
The laser and shield are good for getting the kill all enemies and stay untouched goals, especially on the harder difficulties but I would suggest focusing mostly on the main cannon, side cannons, missiles, and magnet.
In the beginning, focus on your main weapon, then your Wing Cannons and your Missiles. First, though, make sure you have a decent level in Magnet. I think I left mine at the end of Level One upgrades for a long time. It's important with the Magnet to be able to get enough stars to pay for the upgrades. When you unlock Insane Mode, that's when you have to rely on Laser, Shield and Mega Bomb. Then it pays to get a higher level in those. On Hard Mode, you'll also need them, but smaller level of upgrades is sufficient for the most part, IMO. I'll add you to my Game Center so you'll have something to aim for..
Haha!! What an anti-climax... I just discovered the chain-levels after 'Godlike' are.... 'Funky' and then... 'Fantastic' Guess they ran out of good words??
Not again... another game that has "notifications" that say "Hey you haven't played in like one day come play with me!" Picture every game you own doing that. Seriously, it's just obnoxious and useless. If there are real notifications, I need notifications turned on. I don't want a whining "play with me!" message.
I'll side with you on the point that it's unnecessary and irritating when games do that, but in defense of the developer, it's possible to turn off notifications completely for the game in a Settings on your iDevice.
Man, level 4 on Insane is, well, insane... On level one to three it's doable to complete all the objectives on Insane with judicious use of shields and lasers, maybe even a bomb thrown in for good measure, but level 4? I've got all main weapons and health upgraded to the Max I can't even complete one of the objectives. And completing the level without dying? Forget about it... That's one hell of a challenge. I'm not complaining, on the contrary, I'll get there in the end.. A screen of my stage select screen: A screen of my hangar:
