This isn't something you guys HAVE to do (moreso just a cool little detail/mechanic), but what if the stretchy plant enemies (my applogies if there's an actual name for them) were able to eat bees? They wouldn't necesarily home in on a bee like they do the player, but if the player has a bee following them and the plant attacks them, the plant could eat the bee if it was in the way of the plant. Like I said, this definitely isn't something you guys need to do, and it may require more work than it's worth; just something I thought of, though.
Thanks for the beta invite, I completed it and filled out the form. Well I love the graphics and the music, it's quite relaxing to play. I was tapping away at the screen for a couple of minutes before I realised you could hold down the thrusters and then I started getting the hang of it. I think you have a really polished game here, well done on that! It was a little too difficult for me in the more cramped areas (with vines and shooting flowers, etc). It took me a couple of goes to do it but I guess that's what you want from a monetisation point of view (i.e. not to be too easy). I'm not sure if it's just me or anyone else but I wonder if tapping the thrusters to give less upward force (vs more for holding) would easy the difficulty a bit?
Thanks for testing and filling out the form! Regarding the tapping. We could play with the physics a bit and test this. We hope to send the new build out this week!
You know what, I had another go at it and it was way easier. I may have been quick to judge. If others have the same opinion then maybe take a look at it. I like it, I know it has potential when I'm tilting the iPad out of anxiety of managing a tricky part
haha, great! We're working like crazy to get this game shipped quickly. Thanks for all the support everyone. We'll keep posting updates about our progression.
The second world has..bombs! We're really trying to get creative with the claw attachment to the ship. Check it out:
