Welcome back! We're just grinding away at this game, oh, and I'm the official worst employee! I love it how when you miss the top bun, there is a crowd of people saying "Ooohh!"
I think when you open up the app, the profile that was last used should be the one the game is set to click on first. I only have one profile, but it's in the second slot, and everytime I open the app I have to click right once to get to me, kind of annoying. (This happened because I had a profile for another person, and deleted it so I was the only one)
Well I already spoke to Ian about this. I would've hit rank 6 last night, but I had a bit of an issue where my game locked up and froze, when I restarted it knocked me back to my previous score. I went from $5,000 up to $7,400 then back down to the $5,000. Anyone else have that same issue?
I'll try my best to lick that bug in the 1.1 update, and at the very least, save game progress more often to account for unexpected crashes.
Most likely. Sky Burgers allow you to get ingredient counts and tips that you probably wouldn't see normally until order #20 or so.
After building a Sky Burger, I noticed that the patties, cheese, and I think pickles were all worth the most. I had roughly the same amount of each ingredient but those 3 seemed to give me the most cash. Am I being deceived or are certain ingredients worth more? It might make for an interesting strategy when you're on a Sky Burger order. And yes I know your tip amount goes down for each missed ingredient.
Hey Ian, earlier I mentioned that the only flaw with this game to me is starting over from order one, after failing an order. I know there is variety in between the burgers as there is 50 different ones but can you introduce some sort of life system or checkpoint system in the next update?
At rank 0 the ingredient prices are as follow: PRICE_PATTY 0.75 PRICE_CHEESE 0.60 PRICE_LETTUCE 0.50 PRICE_PICKLE 0.50 PRICE_ONION 0.60 PRICE_TOMATO 0.60 With each promotion those prices increase 15%
Well that is one of the major parts of the game design. Starting back at order 1 puts pressure on the player not to fail. If there wasn't a significant penalty then the game would be much less exciting as you reach your limit. Sky Burgers can show up after order 4 so you don't have to build many burgers to get back into that range. There could be faults with a checkpoint system as well. Say a player can't get past order 11 but the game checkpoints order 10. The game wouldn't be very fun if you fail every other burger. Just a tiny peek into my thoughts when designing that part of the game.
I do agree with you there about the checkpoints but life system I still think can work and keep that pressure towards the player. I'm saying you have 3 lives and that's it, even 2 although that seems kind of odd for a life number. I see what you mean about the pressure though, because when I play it is there.
i love the game but just have one question. is there any specific criteria to earn a skyburger order? because i got 3 in a row today (which was awesome) but just wondering if you have to do anything special.
Yeah the thing with sky burgers, means thst you can't fail that level. So when you get a sky burger on like order 11, your guaranteed a shot for order 12. So it's like a free pass. Because at that point, I'm not too worried about my price, as I am getting to a higher order. Since the leaderboards are so close right now around those orders.
I'm perfectly fine with losing and starting off on order 1. It's a good penalty and keeps the game pressered a lot when your on the higher orders. What I was expecting though would be like a summary page after you lose an order. Something showing burger prices, or ingredients, or something. Not such a quick switch to order one. There no game over page, just "order fail". I didn't understand it the first time. I think it could be a little confusing.
