GameClub Skulls of the Shogun - (by 17-BIT, Inc.)

Just re-downloaded to play and noticed it won't load on either Ipad Mini 4 or Iphone 6 plus with Ios 9.1 on them. Update incoming?

 

The developer confirmed that they are working on an update to make the game work on iOS 9; hopefully it'll be soon.

 

Hope the iOS 9 fix comes soon. Always wanted to play this!

 

Going on 6 months of being broken with no update. In the devs forums there are many posts but the only ones to have a response are back from October. I loaded this up today to try to play it (I never did) and found this out from the many 1 star App Store reviews.

I really hope they fix this because I'd love to finally play it. I think I got it for free so if they don't I guess it's no difference to me. Still sad though.

 

Just checked it, it's really sad, I mean, it is one of my favorite turn based strategy games on iOS, bummer to see it go the Bioshock way
Edit: Just checked 17-BITS' Twitter, last update was on January 14, they said that it was close to completion, so I'll wait a few months more before letting it go

 

They said they will fix iOS 9 problems since January,seems like there won't be any update soon:/

 

The recent Twitter news claim that the programmer is no longer with them and they are trying to get him to fix it.He keeps on saying that he's working on it.

 

Sad... had this forever and it doesn't work on ios10! Ugh....

 

Same here!!! Just read their FB account, IOS is "un-updatable" their post in November stated.

 

I feel so scamed with this. I dcided to support the developers by buying their app and this is how they repay me?

 

If it hasn't been fixed as of iOS 9 you can probably assume it's ditched until they find a new programmer instead of trying to hound the previous one unless they pay them.

 

From memory I bought this but didn’t get around to installing it due to lack of space and when I finally went to install it was removed from the AppStore.

Thus began my understanding of just how temporary iOS games can be.

But Woohoo!!..... there it is now, sitting in the AppStore with the little download cloud icon.

i had the cloud too, but it did not give me the full version, and for whatever reason, when i hit 'campaign' the game crashes.
<shrug>
was able to track down my Apple receipt and sent that to GC, but i got the game for free originally.... a month after it was released. i can't remember if i won a promo code or was gifted the game... don't know if that's why it wasn't unlocked or if it's something else.
guess i'll find out.
