I'm progresing just fine. There's some issues, but my Epic Sax Big Band is getting me through most of basic and advanced. What I'm talking about, are the terribly designed treasure levels, like the one I referenced. You get one bronze character to fight with. One. That's what, 720, maximum? And that's when maxed at level 30, which no basic level player will be at (the level is in basic difficulty). You have to fight two 775 Big Band. That's ridiculous levels of unfair. I'm going through Area 4 now, and I beat Area 1 100% on Master, and my highest bronze is 337. It's just bad balance.
I actually managed to beat (most) of the game without spending a cent. Just remember though, some of us have been playing the beta for 2 months! So it's a SLOW daily grind to get enough gems to roll your first GOLD character. After a week of exp of your GOLD character you should be able to complete more and more of the story missions and get your SECOND GOLD character. This is generally how these games work. If you expect to level super fast after 2 days of playing then your expectations are wayy too high. Imo, this game is tonnes better than IJ2. But play both and see which you like better Yes - I also SKIPPED this stage because it was too hard for me too. I came back to it after I beat some of the expert stages. And Yes - some stages ARE hard. There's an even more harder stage than this and it's the bronze only stage I cannot beat too.
I kinda wish I'd gotten the other Big Band. Epic Sax comes with the tamborine blockbuster, which I think is good enough. But I really wanted to use the Jojo reference rapid punches blockbuster he has, and I'm guessing the other gold has it. Can it be pulled from blockbuster relics and used on Epic Sax, too? The dream would be to get to play the trumpet notes, but I'm not sure if that's ever going to be in this version.
I think Epic Sax is one of the strongest gold characters atm. At the end of the day though, they are all strong. (Except Valentine I still feel is one of the weakest unless you can somehow manage to get her resurrection move) I've only managed to pull the "Standard" gold characters from premiere relic. I do not think you can get the other Big Band from the 100gem relic. I think you have to spend 150 gems (a bit of a waste if you are struggling for gems) to go for the super rare characters like the Gold Armed Forces Cerebella of Gold Princess Pride Parasoul. Make sure you do not spend gems on moves - as this can be obtained by completing daily gold missions. Just save up gems and buy the 100 gem premiere relic.
Devs: Any plans on releasing this in the Japanese store? I could switch over to my US acct, but I never drop any funds on that.
So, now progression is stuck behind some really irritating restrictions. I can't go into Expert or Advanced on these levels to increase my Exp, level my units, or get more rewards until I beat these levels. Problem is, some of them are completely unreasonable, unfair, or imbalanced. These are gateways, and I feel like some of them, especially the ones in Basic difficulty, or Bronze only levels, are too heavily restricted. This is actively hindering any progress, and is making me enjoy the game far less than I could be. Here are the only levels I haven't beaten that are stopping me from continuing: Who's the Boss (Under the Bridge) - Advanced Bronze only Painwheel vs. Painwheel 1036 Two Filias only vs. Gold Filia 1984 Who's the Boss (Downtown) - Advanced 2x Big Band only vs. 2x Big Band 2041 Going All In (River King Casino) - Basic One Bronze character only vs. 2x Big Band 1556 No Big Band or Cerebella vs. ? Cerebella only vs. ??? Going All In (Downtown) - Basic Bronze only vs. Valentine 1127 Ascent of a Woman (Medici Tower) - Basic Bronze only vs. 2x Parasoul 2020 Bronze only Peacock vs. 2x Valentine 2132 No Gold or Cerebella vs. Gold Cerebella 2139 Are there any plans to balance these levels, or remove some of these egregious restrictions? I can't even grind decent Exp, because the other stages are completed. Putting rewards behind challenge levels is fine, but stopping me from continuing and gaining better Exp points because I can't get 100% on Basic, and I'm stuck at 93% is a bit ridiculous, and should be fixed.
Hi, if it helps i did all these stages with bronze Filia Bad Hair Day (imo top bronze character) at around 800 rating, and her only move the unblockable fenrir blockbuster. Upgraded all her attack, health/defence and up to extra combo up the tree. Going All In (River King Casino) - Basic One Bronze character only vs. 2x Big Band 1556 No Big Band or Cerebella vs. ? Going All In (Downtown) - Basic Bronze only vs. Valentine 1127
Got a gold harlequin Cerebellum, totally changed the game. Much easier now... Guess you need a gold character to progress!
Unreal, I synced the game I had been playing to my US store download and it was flawless, then the game gave me ten free relics! Ten fighters!!!! LINE, you guys are awesome and way too generous, thank you so much! I'll be buying some crystals, not because I have to, but because I want to. A perfect game just got better!!!!!

I had the game from the PH store for several months, I downloaded from US and synced my progress through Facebook. That was my meaning. The free relics were in my inbox because I downloaded the current build during the opening week.
240k score on the gold tier event and i only got the 11-30% silver eliza would it kill them to let you know the leaderboard as you play, so you can adjust accordingly? as if what we really need is the higher level AI to use supermoves even more efficiently.. so far this is frustration with small doses of awesome triumph here and there, kind of like Dark Souls.
Well, I took one for the team. Spent about $80 and didn't get a single gold character. The rates are undisclosed for golds and as far as I'm concerned this game is a scam. Spend money at your own risk.
Finally got a juicy Gold Primed Parasoul! so happy right now. Green and Purple goodness. Only took 3,450 gems lol. Been saving up for 2 months. Honestly, this Eliza character doesn't seem that great anyway. Parasoul is so OP she's almost broken... Ouch.. yes, just keep lvling your team. You will get there! There will be more events every week so keep training and leveling!
that is unforunate.. I used 3,450 gems today and got 1 parasoul that I wanted in the ROYALTY Relic. Almost got jipped too... was my last box.. It seems this box is only for those who want the really rare characters not available in the Premiere Relic box. My friend also used around 22 opening boxes (2,200) gems and got no gold so I feel for u
thats why i dont spend money on gacha unless a) its been really fair, giving and fun for a good while, so i spend as a thank you or b) there is something *guaranteed* ie spend 20 bucks get a gold character etc. if not, i know these games make their money from gacha. i had a soft launch account, did around 30 pulls no gold character, restarted straight from the beginning, no softlaunch bonuses, saved 10 pulls and got one gold. Not spending anything on this unless i can get a guaranteed character.
