      Skitrix: The Falling Block Word Game

      Skitrix is a word game combining elements from classics like Scrabble(TM) and Tetris(TM) and making something new and unique. Letters continuously fall and the player's goal is to make as many 3 to 7 letter words as they can. The longer the word the more points you get. In cases where the player makes two or more words simultaneously they receive a huge boost.

      Skitrix is challenging, and educational, and most of all, a lot of fun. Making word combos, planning how you are going to utilize the letters you get, add a strategic aspect to the game. We added what we call 'cleaner' blocks in the game. The Bomb, The Red Pill, and The Blue Pill. The Bomb erases all the letters in the row and column where it lands. The Red Pill erases just the row, and The Blue Pill gets rid of the column. Players who enjoy games that involve strategy and have depth will find a lot of both in Skitrix.

      We wanted to make a game that was fun and easy to play, but had something for players who were looking for a challenge as well. In Skitrix, we found the perfect mix. With the Global Openfeint leaderboard, players can compete with others around the world.
