Can't believe it's free. This looks awesome! I felt a bit dizzy though while mastering the controls.

Am I missing something? My version only has 1 plane, 1 campaign mission, 5 dogfighting missions, and multiplayer for a limited time (according to a message I got when I started playing MP). Where are these 6 other planes you're referring to? What I bought feels basically like a demo - a good demo, but a demo nonetheless. Of course, that's basically what I'd expect for a free game. However, I don't really feel like spending $5 for 10 more missions. I might spend $5 for some missions, some dogfighting, and some multiplayer (ie. a mix of smaller amounts of the offerings), but I'm not going to spend $12 to get all of that ($5 for the campaign missions, $5 for the dogfighting, and $2 for the multiplayer).

spent $15.94 on this game so far. i fear this is how future iphone games are gonna be from now on. I'll probably spent about 20 on FAST as well when they come out with some good stuff ie MIGS!

This is something I would not think is a good thing.

Get it or don't get it, the complaining is just getting a little tiresome though.

Too expensive for DLC. £2.99 for 10 missions? I'd say 30 atleast for that price. Basically this is a lite version of a game. However, it is very good, best graphics I've seen on an iPhone just sort the prices. Multplayer is fun too an I'd say that's reasonably priced.

personally I think dog fights and multiplayer are reasonably priced. But planes are expensive.

Actually, I disagree. I played through the game last night and finished all the content (campaign and dogfighting missions) as well as played some MP (which, according to an in-game message is open for a limited time). At this point, other than playing MP until it expires or replaying the missions (which I'm not going to do because they were very easy), there's nothing left to do in the game if I don't buy any DLC. Sure it was an enjoyable experience, but one that only lasted maybe an hour. It's really nothing more than a lite/demo version with the DLC.

And what is the free plane you get with the mission pack?

    Hi,

    O.K. you disagree.

My question would be then, did the game cost you anything?

If you are not out any money, then I would think it is unfair to criticize the price.

If I did not like the setup here, I would just move on

    But, that is just me.

The only problem I have with the pricing is the $5/£3 for the 10 mission pack, sounds a bit too short, as mentioned above I'd want 20-30. Other than that I think the pricing is okay.

You don't have to buy the single player missions before getting multiplayer do you? I'll certainly get the dogfight/multiplayer but probably not the missions and probably no planes either. I think that makes a really good game for about £4. A much better way of going about in app purchases than ngmoco's strategy IMO.

No, it didn't cost me anything - and as such, I wasn't complaining about the base price. The thing that kinda bothered me was the setup for the DLC. For one, like Rod130, I think the $5 for 10 missions and a plane is not worth it (why are the campaign missions so much more expensive than the dogfighting ones? I could understand twice as much maybe, but 10x as much?). The other two packages are fine ($5 for 95 dogfighting missions and $2 for MP). The second thing is that I think there needs to be a mixed bundle package - say $5 for maybe 5 campaign missions, 10 dogfighting missions and MP. I don't want to spend $12 on the current packages because 1) I probably won't play 95 dogfighting missions and 2) I'm not sure I'll play that much MP. I prefer a mix of real campaign missions with some occasional MP.

My only problem is looking at the worst P-40 model I've seen in ages. And the scale of the pilot!!?? I love the game and the landscapes and lighting are simply gorgeous, but please, get another plane modeller.

I would say that for one hour singleplayer and I don't know how long multiplayer (not to mention 8 players over internet...which is a first as far as I know) for free is much better than 2 hours for 4.99 - 6.99 like other big brand flight games...with no or badly working, local only multiplayer. Don't you agree?
