No, I go by Frumius or Downstroyer mostly. Sometimes Frodo to be more anonymous. ...Doh!

I don't play very much at all any more, and I'm not all that good anymore either. Maybe I should go by "Downstroyed."

Cool Frumius. Have you been playing much lately? I don't get to play as often as I used to and I miss those really cool TP games we used to have together... fun times :)

    To everyone in SAW,

I am sorry to see you were asked/prompted/made to publicly apologize to Kingpin on the main FB wall when Kingpin is obviously upset with ME over things I said and not said by anyone in SAW. I also want to apologize to everyone here at TA for taking what is supposed to be the "polite" forum and turning it into what some might feel is a war of words just like FB. My intention was to have a productive discussion and apparently I've hurt the feelings of some other members in the process. Again, that wasn't my intention but that seems to be the reality and I'm sorry for that.

If anyone has anything more to say to me or about the subject I'm always willing to hear and talk about it, though if you're worried continuing the discussion here would defeat the purpose of TA then just message me through FB (or TA) and I'll get the notification and respond.

never felt that way chonch, these kinds of conversations are always at risk of turning into an argument. it was expected from the beginning, at least I did.

Don't worry about it Chonch.*I actually thought the apology was another case of Shern being an instigator. It was the classic "I'm sorry you're offended" rather than "I'm sorry for what I did", and made a spectacle of something that was really nothing, but I could be wrong.

I totally agree with the sentiment that these discussions quickly get contentious. For example, I do a lot of work as an editor, and I tend to be very deliberate about what I write. One of the drawbacks of this is I don't post a lot; it just takes too much time to be really clear about what I'm saying.*

Now, when I read over the past few pages here on TA, it's a little like watching a comedy of errors. When you read closely, nothing particularly offensive is being said, but everyone's busy getting offended. Oh well, c'est la vie.

Anyway, a couple of words of writing advice to no persons in particular:

    1) Paragraphs are your friends, the more the merrier. It's hard not to read a big block of text as an angry screed.

    2) Less is more, and shorter is sweeter. *Saying more than is necessary, especially when using figurative language can easily lead to misinterpretation, and besides, who has that kind of time anyway?

    GG! in the skies!!!

Trust me, I'm well aware I have the writing skills of an 8 year old :)

    But good advice as usual.

That's sort of what my "apology" was, if that wasn't already obvious :).

I didn't like that Kingpin left our discussion here and clearly took it to a private page on FB. I thought my apology to SAW would force him to respond. I guess I was wrong.

If you're going to talk about someone, or continue an argument you've been having with someone, it's a little wimpy to do so in an area that's off limits to the person/people you were originally talking to.

Back when Willie first came to FB a lot of guys were involved in an argument with him. A lot of them then decided to block him, but continued talking about the guy without him being able to see or respond to their comments and I thought that was a cowardly move. If you're going to prevent people from seeing your comments about them then you probably shouldn't be making those comments.

Everything I've ever posted that may have been critical of someone or some group has been done in a public forum viewable by anyone and it will remain that way. I wish others would do the same when they have something they really want to say.

(Enough paragraphs? It looks choppy to me :D.)

I can't believe the servers have actually stopped recording kills and deaths. The one thing that kept me playing for so long was to maintain my position in the Top 20.

I feel especially bad for HE/Hideo who is right behind me in the rankings and has been playing like crazy but won't be able to pass me because of the servers.

Just one more nail in the coffin. It's only a matter of time before SoG = F.A.S.T.

    Yo Mayhem,

Soprano has asked that I pass along his "Hello!" to you over here.

He's an iPhone-only guy and doesn't have easy access to a PC in order to comfortably view/post here on TA.

Again, I don't know what brought this about. I didn't continue anything, private conversation or otherwise. Honestly I've been busy with work and pretty much placed a moritorium on myself with the open SoG page to gain some perspective. The most conversation I have had was with my fellow squad mates on our private page about our squad. Damned if I do damned if I don't I guess. I really don't think anything I say at this point makes much of a difference. I have been still trying to play the game as I normally would while I work. I can get in only 5 and 10min at a time through the evening. I have to leave abruptly alot and for that I'm a chicken and leaving according to SAW. I didn't have the time to come here and read and for that I'm leaving an arguement? Whatever, I just want to play the game. I'll leave the theorizing and assumptions to other prognosticators and seers of SoG realm.

I mentioned in a previous post that I worded the particular post you replied to in a way that I thought would get you to respond because I thought you were avoiding the page. You made two quick posts the other day, seemed pretty angry with me and then didn't post again.

Then others on FB noticed soon after your last post here that MOB members were flying with different CS's and obviously had been involved in group-wide communication. I just assumed you had taken your anger with me to your private squad page where I couldn't view or respond. I obviously assumed wrong and you were just talking about secret squad-related matters.

So I would like to apologize to you, Kingpin, for making a false assumption. I realize people have lives and jobs and a million more important things to do with their evenings and weekends than talk about a video game.

It was wrong of me to think of you as the leader of the MOB squadron. It was wrong of me to claim you had control over other squad members and bore responsibility for anyone else's actions. It was wrong of me to refer to you personally in any example regarding past or present communication between rival squad members or make reference to past disputes among FB users.

As a courtesy to you I'll refrain from furthering the discussion here and won't bother you or mention you again on either forum.

Your post has a distressing note of finality. Do you mean that this is permanent? I had assumed that it was just a temporary glitch.

SoG seems determined to ruin every good game they have. I don't understand their business model at all.

I just started playing SOG...this game ROCKS!!!

I've been into flight sims for a long time...off and on now...but having one this GOOD in my pocket at all times is just awesome.

I'm new to the forum and I always go by Yablonsky.

I'll be checking out the FB site as well...I likely won't post there as I try to keep my game playing out of FB.

I've been a little stuck on mission 3, trying to take out the damn train...I keep getting distracted by the enemy planes...

I've got over 25 Multiplayer kills...so far...for about 2 hours of play...and finished the tutorial and first 2 mission.

Hope to see you all in the skies...
