I agree, especially Zetor's hack - that's just dumb and boring as all hell. There was another guy who went by Rocket Sniper or something. We think he hacked the MGs to have the same charge as a rocket. Again, not cool to hack, but I remember an EPIC battle between him, me, and some others like Hazard, Orion, Keebler (I can't quite remember). It was like the rebels taking on Darth Vader or something - pretty eff'ing cool!
And I don't remember my thumbs getting sore. On the contrary, they went numb! =-p Dude, that's stage 2! Stage 3 and they calcify, which spreads to the rest of your fingers. Eventually, in stage 4, your hands become locked in the what's known as the SoG Claw. Good only for holding your gaming device, which you can no longer operate! Seek help! ; )
Frumius! Your fellow comrads in SAB will be happy to see you haven't totally forgotten them! Does this mean we can expect to see you in the skies again? Please say yes....
Thanks, guys Yes, I will fly again! But I found out last night that I'm very rusty. My new iPod touch 4th Gen is so slim it's hard to hang onto for flying! I need to put it in a case, both to protect it and to give myself more to hold.
Frumius, welcome back and to protect your iPod try an Otterbox ! I have one for my iPhone and have yet to even scratch the thing and it does add a little size to it. NeLge, you are still a god! Nice to see you in the skies again!
Welcome back Frumius! And GG! to Kingpin, Capone, bp oil, divine wind (why are you crashing?), and others. Holy Sh#t! that was a good game! and then.... Aaaargh! Game crashed. oh well, it's not like I play for the points grrrh...
Nice! Nice! Nice! Nice! Nice! Nice! Nice! Nice! Nice! Nice! Nice! Nice! Nice! Nice! Nice! Nice! Nice! Nice! Nice! Nice! Nice! Nice! Nice! Nice! Nice! Nice!
The warm welcomes from everyone are very nice, thanks! I had iPod touch problems for a long time, then I got really busy and couldn't keep up with the forum. But now I have my own iPod touch and I'm back! All my settings are reset, though. Just did my first games as SAB Frumius since my return. I had been playing as "Droid Killer" for a little bit so that my rustiness wouldn't reflect on my good name However, I'm still rusty. And it's especially difficult because this iPod 4th Gen is so slim and slippery that I have to fight just to hang onto it! That is in addition to fighting my opponents! My hands aren't even that big. But when I get it into a case it'll be easier to hold it, I am sure. Also, without a case surrounding the screen to help guide my fingers by feel, I find that I often miss one gun button or the other so that I'm only shooting one gun at a time. I fixed this temporarily (until I can find a case for it) by putting a rubber band around each end, just outside of the screen edges. Now my hands aren't sliding around, and I can tell by feel when my fingers are in the right place! An added benefit to the rubber bands is that it now rests a little bit off of a table when it is set down, keeping scratches to a minimum, keeping it from sliding around, and hopefully making it a tiny bit safer if liquid is spilled near it. Admittedly, rubber bands on an iPod touch 4th Gen look hideous. I just can't find a case yet.
"Droid Killer" Hey... I'm one of them now! Seriously that's why I am #3. They have a bug with certain models of Droids. Divine Wind (SGN's new producer who is the best thing to happen to the game IMOP) is using me as a test case and is tracking it to try and fix it. I get like 90 kills per actual kill. Let me tell you, playing on a droid X is like 5 times harder than playing on an ipod. First off the best plane you can get is the BF, secondly all the planes stall if you point them straight up for more than 2 seconds. Also because the screen is so big you have an increase in resolution it makes everyone appear tiny, so tiny I can't even make out the players names half the time. It took me a long time to get used to playing on the droid, it's almost like a new game all together. I had to learn how to fly all over again and reinvent all my strategies. On the plus side I can practically see the entire map laid out in front of me. What this is great for is mixing things up in the furball. I live there now... love it there as I have practically a 25% to 40% greater field of vision! I can most certainly relate to having to adjust to new hardware. It took me like two weeks to become good on my droid. You will get the feel of it sooner than that I am sure. Before you know it you will be back to feeling your old self again

But when I get it into a case it'll be easier to hold it, I am sure. Thx, Frumius! I've been complaining about my lack of control, when I read your post I realized that I was having the same issues (I use an iPod), so I went looking for rubber bands. Instead I found my old case, I had taken it off for some reason and forgot about it. Anyway, whole new world. Fingers rest on the trigger, iPod feels like a steering wheel, and it's even easier on my thumbs! Guess I'm not gripping so tight. Also, I had been noticing that I wasn't bailing out all the time when I shook the machine. In fact, hardly ever. Was taking a lot of kills. It even fixed that! Dunno why, but I'll take it.
Hey, bukki, I saw you a few min ago in a game, but my connection was lost. It's being really intermittent today. It also started raining today... hmm.
