GG! Tonight is the first time I'm flown the Zero-III in months. I had to turn down my sensitivity to around 70% because I couldn't focus with it set on full. I still haven't gotten used to the speed and I've been crashing more than usual because I misjudge my airspeed when sneaking up on someone and then I end up smashing into the back of them. In the game immediately after yours I had my first 3-plane crash!

The Zero is really the only plane you can truly chonch in and you can really see the difference to your KDR when you're able to safely avoid so many easy deaths. I'm currently over 10:1 according to the tournament leaderboard. I'm not sure how long that'll last but I've had fun tonight.

Speaking of chonching, I think the only other plane you can almost do it in is the P-38. Austin has mentioned how it takes some practice to learn how to really fly it effectively and after spending a full day in it about a week ago I think I figured out what he was talking about. It has this slingshot effect that allows you to go into a steep dive and then whip out of it at an amazing speed. It was some of the most enjoyable flying I've had playing this game.

Chonching means flying out of reach while in or near bailout mode... right?

GG! It was good to see you flying The Family tag earlier!! I would have been there sooner, but as it is I am sneaking in games here and there while working!! Nice job leading the room!

Like Mosquito says you zoom away from the action at high speeds to bailout. Really you can only do this in a ZIII. It becomes a sport when your locked in a furball and you have to time it just right to get out. GN and I used to play this game where when one of us was about to pull a Chonch we would say "ouch". At that point the race was on! :) That is what I miss the most about the zero III :) Those were some fun times!

Shern made a squad named W.A.S which consisted of three players; Waldo Pepper, Ace Rimmer, and Shern. Waldo thought that it would sound cooler to reverse the letters to spell SAW instead of WAS, presumably because SAW sounds kinda baddass and W.A.S. just sort of leaves everyone with a question mark in their brains.

Hey, it's been playing with you as well. I had fun with you in the room the other night chasing [CAN] Red BoB (?) around. I don't know if he's being serious with those "I AM A BEAST"s he was throwing around - I laughed at least - but I actually enjoying flying with him.

Another pilot that I don't see get a lot of mentions, but is pretty skilled in the p-38 is Hayman.

Actually, since we're on the topic of names, what's the deal with SnDmeck and littlemeck? I've caught some of the story on fb but still don't get the relation.

Haymen is a good guy in that machine...Love to fight him as he's a good sport!

BIGBOBCAN [XYZ] is a good sport most times, but has been fighting somewhat dirtly lately....You'll notice he will give an "Adios" when he's smoking and trying to bail or when you are coming at him so you will leave him alone then he will come along and shoot your tail...I ignore those from him and continue to shoot him down until he leaves....I think the "I'm A Beast!" he gives he is trying to be serious...as it is I shoot him down relentlessly when he throws them out until he does leave ;)

Oh, that's right; I do remember that. No, that's not cool to do. I tend to ignore those anyway. If you're getting shot up, going h2h, or in a furball, and you have to leave the game; take your death and then bugger out. I also tend to be moving away from the action when I throw out a "Adios".

Btw, good match just now, though there wasn't much chum for the frenzy. Sorry about the accidental kill though. I was aiming @ Mikey and you swung up smoking right at the last minute.

yah...that was mine...I actually did it on purpose as I was down to just MG and not at bailout yet..I misjudged your position and well...I got more than I was looking for! Lol...but, I would rather a squad member get the kill...so, no worries..

[SAW] watches over Littlemeck too. Too cool to see father and son together. My son plays some, but at 20 years old he is quick to shoot me down if he can and "prove" himself.
