the fact that the firing range is for all planes the same I can understand. Once a Revo guy explaned the formula for the damage, because Origami found out about a mistake in the formula. So in there you can't find anything about the range. I don't think that SGN made it so complicated. The differ in firepower and armor. That's it.

It's Cometti who found the bug. I'm still so glad he found it otherwise the green zero will remain the most powerful firepower due to it's weakest armor, and the mossie will be weakest firepower due to it's high armor.

The firing range and plane body lenght doesn't need to be in the formula which determines the damage. They determine whether the bullet hit or not. SoG can easily have different firing range for each plane. Razvan told us here there is different and mossie has the longest range. But my experiment prove otherwise.

So I made the silly choice of going into a room with NeLge's name in it. Foolish thing to do for my first game of the morning, NeLge was really there. I'm glad the game had a frag limit, that was very merciful. :)

This is easy to explain. When you were shooting, the target was out of range. Had it stayed out of range, or not moved, you wouldn't have hit.

But even SGN (particularly SGN?) has no way of predicting the future. In other words, the plane might fly towards your bullets and within range. Or accelerate within range.

This is an extension of the concept of deflection shooting. Or is it? In deflection shooting, SOG seems to take flight vectors into account when determining redness.

If this is true, it has important implications to down Z3s H2H, with any plane.

Who did you see? The skies are full of Z3s, often with veteran pilots no less.

Only consolation: Got Wooper and Keebler a couple of times.

    That felt good.

There seem to be a lot of problems with the formulae. Empirically speaking. When was the last time Razvan has commented on this? Is he still with the company/working on SOG?

Handling fully broken down into Pitch, Roll and Yaw

Plane name (market spec in handling): Pitch 5 rev / Roll 10 rev / Yaw 1 rev
(5 rev means time taken to complete 5 revolutions).

    Zero-III (5.0): 17.5 / 16.0 / 17
    Mustang-II (4.5): 20 / 18.5 / 24
    Yak-3-I (4.5): 20 / 18.5 / 24
    Zero-II (4.5): 21 / 18.5 / 24
    Corsair-II (4.5): 21 / 19.0 / 26
    BF-II (4.0): 20 / 19.5 / 28
    FW-II (4.5): 21 / 18.5 / 30
    P38-I (4.0): 22 / 19.5 / 26
    Spitfire-II (4.0): 22 / 19.5 / 28
    Mossie-II (2.5): 22 / 19.5 / 28

    P40, Tempest and Hien-II is not tested (I don't have hien-II)

    So the best in overall manuverability is Z3 > (P51 = Yak3) > Z2 > Corsair > (BF = FW) > P38 > (Spitfire = Mossie)

Damn......The Z3 is so ridiculously overpowered! Look at the stats! Beats every plane by at least 2 seconds!
I say SGN should raise its price to discourage buyers or make an equally overpowered plane-The Me 262 perhaps?

Imagine how life would be like without Z3. Boring... There won't be xZ3. :D

BIGGER IS BETTER! (Having fun with sofg)

I have gotten a little bored with sofg, having been addicted for so long, but I found a new way to spice things up! Went to visit my brother and nephew over the weekend & we created a room called "Three little bigs" ... all joined in with our Mosquitos and gave ourselves the same name: "Big". That was very fun! Three Mossies vs everyone else! Now & then we would kill each other just to get the dialog "Big killed Big!". Was hoping for a vet to join in so he could kill a "Big" only to be killed by another "Big" immediately afterwards. See first attachment.

Next night, our room was "bigger is better". We started as "big", "bigger", and "biggest". AVID Texas did great, he was ahead of all of us, but at the end we had a ton of kills.

Very fun to play with other guys in the same room & hoot each other on! As well as the dialogue: "Big killed Bigger!" "Biggest killed Big!" "Big bailed out" Kudos to "BIG BOB" who hung in the whole time too!

It would be ok if it was the most nimble plane. What is not ok is that it ALSO has the best firepower and speed. And not too shabby armor.

Michael - that was a very fun room! I enjoied going up against you guys. I alternate between Avid Tar and Avid Texas at times.

It was crazy as alot of folks started hunting me down towards the end so my head was spinning to get 'em first.

Though I've "officially" retired, hope to see you once in a while.

Ok, which one of you is flying around as "Agent Orange" in the Hein II? I know that h2h style as I have been killed by it before. It has to be someone from here. :)

@ Mr. Orange - And that's how we fly under the radar when off the top 10. ;)

Thanks for killing my KDR :)

Starting to get sick of the relatively low firepower of the FW. You were almost always able to "conch". Or Vollenberger took the kill...

I saw a "P40-II's Only" room so I jumped in my bucket and entered. I was shocked to see [LOS]Apple was leading with 9 kills. I was gaining fast until WhoMade entered in a Yak. :) I left after the last screenshot.

I saw Rudel in the next room. It's been a long time since our last meeting. I was 20 minutes past my low battery notification but stuck it out long enough to see N4Lge enter. Then my screen went black.
