    Keebler,

I swear I wasn't gunning for you just now! I took you down once when you came zipping past me with a short MG blast. I saw a plane and I didn't know it was you! :) The other times it was because you were just there and I could! ;) Muhahahaha!!!! You had quite a few good ones on me as well! As brief as that was that was fun! :)

i'm not worried about my kill rate being any better than anyone else's :) I just worry about killing anyone period :)

bit of a superbowl buzz and tired, but those were good rooms. I was wondering where Shern went and yes Shern, I held off when I noticed you hadn't shot back. doh! sorry I wounded you badly though.

Orion, that was a good match. I was mad at Numichigoro b/c he had left the game Shern and I had been in and went to this other game (after I had passed him). So, I hunted him down :)

    Keebler,
I think I've asked this before but I forgot. Do u have the white hien?

Is superbowl a major bowling competition?

Did u spell the nu..... name correctly? It doesn't seems to be that but if u're correct then I'm impressed of your memory. :D

Well I could tell you were after somebody! Actually, that Numichigoro, fellow seems pretty good from what I can tell of him so far, today is the first day I had run across him. Poor guy had you hunting him down, I know he was hating that! I got you some of those times while I was going after Bosh. I had a game with him the other day, where I shot him down once when he was in the tempest, and he immediately left the game, and showed back up minutes later in a spitfire. I shot him down again, and again he left and came and came back but in a Corsair... he did this a few times actually, showing up every time in a different plane. Eventually he just came back in the tempest again! I'm sure you can see where I might find all that somewhat amusing :) Anyway I was trying to get him a few times just to see if he would do that again tonight, and for some reason I would miss him and well, there you were!

With the white hien, GN is gonna to zoom zoom to 1,000,000 points in short time. :(

I should be reaching 100,000 after I go back home. And I'll stop playing for a while to let Mosquito catch up and be number2. But I hope he do it quick before I'm uncontrollably itchy to play the game.

The Superbowl is where the two best US Football teams meet at the end of the year. It's not European football, but American.

My team wasn't in it this year and I didn't care much, but I leaned toward the New Orleans Saints.

My thinking was this: the game never ends. My team is the San Francisco 49ers, one of the most successful Superbowl teams of all time, the first to reach five Superbowl wins, zero losses, and holder of many significant Superbowl records. The Indianapolis Colts would love to vie for that dominance, and I didn't want them to even have a chance. New Orleans, on the other hand, is a long way from challenging the San Francisco 49ers' historical greatness** -- so I wanted them to win. And they did. And San Fran's place in history is unthreatened by either team.

As for Manning being the best of the best... We had Joe Montana and Steve Young, and I wouldn't trade either of 'em for anyone. I grew up with them. If one doesn't remember them, well, one can't really say anything about them.

** I used to love it when they were in our division. For years they were tasty snacks for us :)

"Is superbowl a major bowling competition?"

    It's an eating contest :p

Edit: Joking of course, but it is certainly that for the fans. Americans have two days out of the year where they engorge themselves, thanksgiving and superbowl sunday. It's really an unofficial holiday, everybody always shows up for work the following Monday tired and hungover.

Yeh, back in the 80's it seemed as though it was pretty much a coin toss as to who was going to win the superbowl, San Fran or Dallas. Of course Washington was always in the mix as well. My grandparents lived in Tampa, so I was always a buc's fan... It was a rough childhood growing up for me, especially on days I wore my Buccaneer toboggan to school. :( I might as well had just been wearing a "kick me sign" on my back!

Yes! I am the first human being to cross the 100,000 points. :D

But i overshot by 9 points. I should have quited in the AA room when i reached 50 kills but i killed one more before quitting.

I'm taking a break from this game until the next update come.

My killing rate has been improving remarkably and these are the things I have done that improve my killing rate:

    1) discover tap tap technique of using the MG.
    2) switch from red spitfire to Zero.
    3) switch from default view to nose view (the one that showed nothing on your plane).
    4) change sensitivity setting from 0% to 70%.
    5) switch from Zero to white Hien.
    6) many hours of practice that I've learned
    - where the aim should be placed at multiple different situations to secure stable shot on the enemy.
    - always go for the closest enemy. Never go for far away enemy when there is an enemy nearby because u'll be flying straight out.
    - never to take revenge but to always go for easiest kills.
    - Never slow down to have tighter turn unless u're sure no one else is aiming at u.
    - quickly make wild turn and boost your speed when u just enter or reappear in the game.
    etc etc etc.

The AA room in winter has finally been closed down. Last player out is Wild beast. I saw this room at 1/8. The I entered and saw him inside. I quit and monitor the list. And then the AA room is finally gone. But....

I've recreated it and is called AA again but now is desert map. 4 of us were inside then I think we all got lost connection. Then I recreate again.

    Mosquito, u are using spitfire.

For those here that have fought their way through the single-playerdogfights, at what point, if any, did you break down & start using the rockets? #69 is getting a bit bonkers.

I start using rocket either from 69 or 79, I forgot already. But it's really a waste of time playing the dogfights though the campaign is still interesting to complete. My iPhone has reset my SoG 3x by itself and erased all my achievements, including the 100 dogfights achievement. And u get nothing for completing 100 dogfights.

Let's say we have 8 almost equally skilled players divide among themselves into 2 teams and play in TP room. One team will only use the allies planes and the other the axis planes. No player can choose a similar plane.

So the alllies team will have blue Corsair, red spitfire, yellow tempest and white mustang. The axis team will have white hien, white zero, brown BF109 and green Hien.

Which team do u think will have the upper hand? And why?

I would say just go ahead and start using them, your not going to be able to get past the 100th dogfight with out them. After the difficulty level reaches 80% is when I started to have trouble when it was three or more planes. Also starting with those last two rounds at 90%, your probably going to have to figure out a stratigy to deal with them as going h2h with them, is close to impossible. Shern and I figured out similar stratigies to get past them, but I won't share right now what it is, because I don't want to ruin the challenge of figuring it out just yet for ya;)

That's true, you get absolutely squat for it, but I think it's still a fun challenge none the less :)

thought the superbowl was a great game. i actually called that pick to be my wife right before it happened. i was miffed at the end of the 2nd half that the colts ran it 3x's with over a minute left and 3 TO's! i told my wife - the colts see something in the saints D or are simply scared.

So when they got the back around the 3 minute mark, I brought up the end of the 2nd half and told her, Manning's going to toss a pick right here b/c the saints are going to be sitting on it. then whammo!

it's a play where i think it might have altered the perception of Manning forever - i think if he would have made that drive to tie the game, it would have been a cementing moment for his legacy and now it might have dropped him a few notches.

As for Young and Montana, there's no doubt they were amazing. I just don't know if they were as cerebral as Manning is. All 3 have the physical talent no doubt. It's no biggee regardless b/c the 'best' players at any position in any sport can always be debated :)

Good for New Orleans. I'm sure they'll celebrate in style.
I think it's great, but one part of me is still a bit ticked that that city was left in ruins and Bush basically ignored it while he sent troops overseas (I have nothing against the latter part), but to completely ignore ONE OF YOUR OWN CITIES...is inexcusable.

Hopefully this will help NO rebuild their fine city.

As for SOG, I'm still having fun.

Shern, I do have the Hein - never fly it. liking the corsair better. I seem to destroy Heins with fewer hits than the Corsairs or the Zero for that matter. I don't know if that's just me or not. I was getting hammered playing it so I stopped. I might try again.

As for the update, I'm really hoping they come out with the P-47 Thunderbolt b/c that plane was the cat's meow and it should be rated extremely high in all aspects. :)

not sure if I'll get to play today...lots of work to be done, but i'll try. I'm just around 4800 kills so trying hard to get to 5K. I wanted to catch zxzx, but I hadn't played for about 3 weeks just around Christmas so I believe that put me behind the 8 ball in a big way :)
