Very useful info, thanks shern! Have you timed roll rate also? That's another important factor in maneuverability, and was a weakness of the historical Zero.
lol thanks! I did leave you alone for the most part, but I"ll be honest - when you came into the room, I was excited b/c no offense to the others who were in that game, but before you came it, it was the Marianas Island Turkey Shoot!!! * I racked up the 50 kills in very fast fashion. They were mostly P40s and rocketers so they were slowly trying to line up. I hadn't been in there long before you got there. it was by far the fastest scoring rate I've ever had. btw, that's not bragging - just a fact. It was insanely crazy - you saw the players in there. Anyhoo, so when you came in, I was excited at some great competition And I tried to avoid you - only went after you when you were right in front of me. The one time, I was targeting another plane beyond you and ended up shooting you both. I wanted you to know that i accidentally hit the 'gotcha' and meant to hit the 'ouch' b/c I wasn't after you. I was targeting Kendra and henry and the other rocketers. * http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_Philippine_Sea I might get in there again this afternoon, but I'm hosting a superbowl party so i need to get everything ready first
Yeh I was happy to see you too bud! You were tearing it up in there for sure! So that was the fastest scoring rate for you ever was it? I can believe it you ended things awfully quickly! It really was open season in there... I usually start salivating at the sight of a mustang.. I didn't quite know what to do with myself in there! I appreciate that you weren't gunning for me, I wasn't gunning for you either. I did pass up several opportunity's though to get ya cause you were just right there in front of me, but again... I was thinking truce! I should really know better than that with you my friend! Now I know though, that if I ever find myself right behind you again... well....... muhahahaha!!! So who are you pulling for in the big game tonight? I'm pulling for the Saints because I think they really deserve it and also because they are in the NFC south with my Panthers (don't say nothin....I know, we all do)
Sometimes there are noobs attacking, just because I'm SAB. They line up ..4-5 planes and try h2h. I get them all down. But sometimes there are players like capt fear, keebler or sola picking in SAB, then it's not that funny anymore...
For me, I just want a competitive game. I do think Nanjing is he best qb to ever play, but obviously the saints are a fantastic story btw , consider me open game - I do for everyone although I wont hunt certain players down
All is done using the same speed with the needle pointing vertically up. And is done in ocean map, not winter map in case there is ice on the control surface. I turn the planes vertically up instead of turning sideway becuase I can't be sure I can do perfect horizontal turning (if I test by turning horizontally, sometimes I may be slightly off the horizontal line and the gravity will come into effect). So to be consistent all planes will have same gravity efffect by doing vertical turns. Anyway, the absolute figures in the timing may not be accurate but the relative timing should be true ie which plane is turning faster than the other.
Somehow I have significantly improved in my kill rate. I rack up 50 kills crazily fast in my most recent FFA match, and i think i am now as fast as the fastest kill rate I've ever seen in the game from the player called iPod pais, and i think I have become faster than u. I'm just waiting for the chance to meet u in same room to have another friendly competition with u to confirm what I'm thinking. Do note that I've never intentionally shoot u previously and will never do so in future. I always treat u the same as anyone in the room. Hope to see u soon.
It's kinda embarresing to hold no2 position and there are players killing faster than me. But at least the consolation part is that I'm still faster than GN.
I just re time the turning for the top 3 planes and find that the timing to complete one vertical loop is now the same for all 3 planes! ie zero = corsair = white hien. Could SGN modified the program such that all 3 planes with handling at 4.5 stars are now equally maneuverable, after reading my previous post? Or is it because I did this in the morning and the previous one I did at night, maybe morning I'm more fresh doing the timing? Mmm I have also retime brown BF and red spitfire and both are slower than white hien by about 1 sec. Yesterday night (GMT+8) the white hien is clearly matched with BF and spitfire. They must have change the plane code, like they did for FAST white F4. Initially the white F4 has 9 stars rating in manuverability but it turns like the original F4. Later in next update it was corrected. hope someone can do this experiment that I'm doing to verify.
Lol, Shern! Perhaps it is a matter of carrying the experiment out consistently. I would do it over land, so that you can easily pick our a landmark. Begin in a dive so that you can get that landmark right in the crosshairs. Actually, you could just as easily pick a landmark and fly horizontally, and if you did it horizontally you could be sure you kept an honest circle, that it didn't wobble. Start the loop with each plane going the exact same speed and note the time when you get that landmark back in your sights. A way to test how wide the loops are would be to do the experiment on the map with the bridge: Flying parallel with the bridge and at the same level as the top of the bridge, begin your loop at some given speed. When you complete your loop, note whether you complete it above the bridge top, at the bridge top, or below it. Then try the next plane, again flying at the height of the top of the bridge and going the same speed as before. When you complete your loop, note whether you complete it above the bridge top, at the bridge top, or below it. Repeat with any other planes. The planes that have the widest loops will finish their loops when they are at a lower elevation relative to the bridge top, while the planes with the tightest loops will finish their loops at the highest elevations relative to the bridge top. You could also use the altimeter, but you might not get the same feel for it as you would watching that bridge go by. Soon we can re-post tee-em's post:
I'm very sure the white hien manuverability was being modified. I just played AA room using the white hien. OMG! It no longer feels like a BF109 with added speed, it feels like a Zero with added firepower! My killing rate was crazily superb and I'm enjoying the game more than ever. No more issue on the yellow marker that stuck at the upper edge of my screen when i keep turning at high speed. And the turning was amazingly tight now. U guys go try the white hien again and see if u feel any difference like I do.
Thanks for waking me up from my craziness!!! I don't know what has gotten onto me. hehe. Anyway, with the realization that all 3 top planes have equal manuverability now, I have changed my ranking of the planes in my signature. White Zero is no longer #1 due to it's lower firepower and no more manueverability advantage. So it's pushed down to #3, below the Corsair. White Hien is now #1 as it does not have the higher stalling speed and size of the Corsair.
That was a good superbowl wasn't it? I knew it was on when the saints kicked that on side kick to open up the third quarter! I feel sorry for "Nanjing" *smirk, smirk* *chuckle, chucke* though for throwing that interception like that.. you would have thought he would have learned something from Farve the other week... I love good games! Oh and I do appreciate that you don't actively hunt me down, that's all I could ever ask from ya man, as it's just in your nature to destroy anything in your path!
Is Keebler picking on you again??? Tisk tisk... I'll have to talk to that boy bout that! I also like it when the noobs line up on me like that, I'm finding that especially funny these days now that I have the firepower of the Hien at my disposal!
Dang! I am at the beginning of the game with Keebler and my wife SMS me to fetch her now. So have to quit. The AA was left 2 players initially, me and a noob. I left and start to monitor the room from outside and it's still say 2. I entered and find 2 players and then one of them left and i left to monitor. Again, everytime i left and expect to see 1/8, it's always 2/8. The room just can't be close. So I entered again and just play with the 2 players. Then the room start to fill up very quickly, including Keebler. I was at 3 kills when the room is filled up. I do a flypass with Keebler and withheld my MG while he give me a few knocks using his rounds. He could have killed me in the h2h but he didn't. so kind of him. I chased him to check out his plane and he's in Corsair. Good, then I should have some advantage as I'm in white hien. I waited for him to get 3 kills before i start my killing spree. But then i didn't expect another player called Nubu#### (can't rem the speeling) is competing with us also for the #1 position. Keebler seems not at his best (is he doing some installation again?) because it's Nubu and I taking turns leading the game. And I reached 11 kills, 2-3 kills ahead of Nubu but Keebler is ~2 kills behind Nubu. then my wife SMS me and I have to quit. The game ended for me too early to tell if my killing rate is the fastest in the game. Maybe next time then.
Well if that is indeed true, than that just speaks to your determination and experience! I dunno Shern, you seem to kill at an extremely high rate and your one of the few that can go toe to toe with anybody! I think GN is a robot btw
I know what's wrong with Keebler right now, I can guarantee you he's having the same problem as me right now... It's superbowl sunday!!!! Mental note.... don't play with a beer buzz
